Subsistence perk on AUSTRINGER
Will let you carry only 30 hand cannon ammo in reserve?! Is this okay?
First i thought my gun is glitched but than i red the description of the subsistence perk 🤦🏻♂️
That perk need fixing imo

4 RepliesI dont know. Just recently got the perk on it and so far it seems like a good perk. Unless you're staying in one place shooting stuff it tends to not really have an ammo issue for me anyways since primary ammo tends to drop a lot. Wondering if I can get that perk and rampage aswell though to make it better. While I do wish the reload was more in a lot of activities it still takes one headshot to kill most enemies of course it will obviously take more if you're shooting at something like a have knight and what not but that applies to every weapon.

2 RepliesI actually don't think it's that bad. I have it on my Austringer along with demolitionist, and I almost never run out of ammo. You would expect to run out often, but I find that I run over enough primary ammo to refill it before the reserves are empty. Besides, the perk should have some downside. That's the whole idea. If ammo wasn't a problem, it wouldn't make any sense.

10 Repliessubsistance on austringer is godmode for pve. If you want more ammo use an armor piece with reserve HC ammo. in fact use another armor piece with primary ammo finder. or HC scavenger.... armor will reverse any negative you perceive. i have 14 rds in mine plus subsistance i can fire like 25 or 30 hard hitting HC rounds before needing to reload. you are complaining? REALLY???

I don’t think it Needs fixing but I do think that it is a bad perk and don’t want it on any of my guns

23 RepliesIt’s a wasted perk. You basically run out of primary ammo unless you constantly juggle weapons. I think it’s Bungie trying to force us to use special and heavy weapons on trash mobs so that we don’t save it up for bosses and mini-bosses. Any weapon with Subsistence is basically shards.

Its does fine for me, generally I never really run out of ammo for it. Love mine since is rolled with subsidence and rampage.

3 RepliesSubsistence with Rampage is a monster! I never run out of ammo as Primary ammo drops all over the place. It is definitely a perk worth keeping.

Personally, I like it a lot on my Austringer with Rampage. Never really encountered the ammo issue that other people do. Just go grab a brick real quick

Some will be niche and some will not. Some will suit your playstyle, some will not. Why do you need to change everything in the game to suit exactly you? What if some people enjoy the playstyle of subsistence and hand cannon reserves, or heck, just running around a lot more than you so they end up grabbing more primary bricks and dont run out?

I like the idea of it but I have run out of ammo with it more than any other primary I have ever used. They need to add another 30 rounds and it would be good and it would still be about 40 rounds less than my hand cannon without it.

I love it on my gnawing hunger. Feels like a legendary sweet business. On anything else it feels like it burns ammo too fast.

3 RepliesI got a Night Watch with Rampage. Was really happy until I saw Subsistence as its other perk. I damn near dismantled it on the spot, but Night Watch is one of the hardest guns to have drop. I'm just going to Vault it until they possibly do something with this perk in the future. It would be a phenomenal perk if it didn't cut your reserves so severely.

Its not a bug. It gives you 1/3rd of your reserves for any gun. You get enough kinetic ammo though.

An Austringer dropped for me with Drop Mag and Sustinence. I was out of ammo in 20 seconds flat. But that reload tho...😂 It was hot garbage for a HC roll.

Subsistence is supposed to shorten the magazine. It's a trade up for gaining ammo back instantly
