It's not that bad.
QP is what it's always been. Comp is the only one that has issues, but that's do to player toxicity more than anything. By that mean, there is no point in using team chat, as no one else will use it. Even without communication, players should have some ability to try and work together, but people would rather run off solo like this is freaking COD. You have unskilled players spamming the latest crutch weapon to make up for their lack of skill*cough*LoW*cough*, rage-quitters, etc(of course, there issues do not apply to everyone, this is just a roundabout of issues that do cause certain players to curse PvP).
I consider myself a barely decent player, thanks to the nerve and tendon damage in my hand which makes it difficult for me to even react in time quite often, but I still enjoy myself quite often in PvP, solo or with clanmates. You don't need to play PvP to enjoy the game, though you will limit yourself from certain aspects of the game by ignoring it.
Also, is it just me, or does anyone else think that there should be a pinnacle weapon for PvP that isn't tied to comp? like they could have made luna's a crucible wide weapon, but take much more time to complete if you did it outside of comp(like reset your valor 5 times, plus make the other steps much less rewarding in progress, etc), and make NF comp only. Redrixs claymore could have stay comp only, while broadsword could be a less powerful version that could be obtained through QP, but much faster to acquire through comp. idk, maybe just me.
