No.
1. The problem is that the primary weapons in this game kill too slowly relative to the speed at which players can move. So people either team shoot....or they spam OHK weapons so that they can kil their opponent before they run away.
2. Special weapons were less annoying in D1...because you had your own special weapon....and usually and adequate supply of it. So this entire sub-meta developed where people battled it out in special weapons duels. Which required a lot of mindskill to win consistently.
Whereas in D2. Only the winning team gets special ammo. So you're often facing someone coming at you with a shotgun....and you have NOTHING to resist them with.
Your primary kills too slowly to stop their rush.
You often out of special ammo, or don't have enough to secure a kill.
Your abilities are often not up....and even if they are...they are no real threat. Tracking grenades have been nerfed so badly that Hunters know they can dodge and break the track.....and those who can't dodge them simply tank them. Because they dont' do enough damage to be a real threat.
So what happens is at best....the game becomes this frustrating game of rock-paper-scissors where you can't predict when you are going to face someone with a special or heavy weapon....
....or....
At worst the game becuase this irresistable snowball that you're helpless to stop. You team shot....then the special wepaon spam starts....which turns into power weapon spam....which then turns into super spamming.
Then rinse and repeat.

Restrict everyone’s special ammo to a set amount per person per match.
-
Nope. That’s a punt. It’s an admission that you can’t balance multi-shot weapons with OHK weapons.
-
There’s just far too much one hit kill weapons in crucible for my liking. Used non stop all match long.
-
The problem aren’t the OHK weapons. It’s that the primary weapons kill to slowly for the speed at which we can move.
-
I guess you enjoy people being able to one shot all match long. I don’t. If the time to kill on primaries gets much quicker, they won’t be much different to one shot kill weapons really. I just don’t see the point in a PvP game where you basically see someone and fire and they’re dead instantly.

Look man, if I wanna snipe you I will. You don't have to have a sniper on, and you can very much fight it. Map awareness really helps in combatting these. Even shotguns.
-
Sniping me isn’t the problem. Being able to have ammo to snipe all match long is the problem. They aren’t ‘special’ weapons when you can run them all game long. May as well just flick a switch to ‘one hit kills’ and make every weapon kill in one hit.

sounds like you just get farmed too much. I get into plenty of gunfights still.

It’s special weapons galore in crucible. They’re too plentiful.
