Corsair down not dropping
I've been in dreaming city for almost an hour trying to get corsair down badge so i can get truth, but nothing, absolutely nothing.

45 RepliesIt has been confirmed by several people, one of which I spoke with personally, as well as several posts on the forum of people discussing the Truth quest, that it is, indeed, dropping. It's down to RNG. Some people may get it super quickly, while others may take a while. That's just the nature of Random.

2 RepliesI spent a good hour or so on my titan main trying to get a new badge bounty, but to no avail. Tried the public event in the mist (defending the ether pot) and the one in the Strand, but no luck. Switched to my hunter who hasn't been to the dreaming city as much as my titan...[b]and got a badge within a few minutes of killing scorn in the strand.[/b] Either my hunter was incredibly lucky, or there is a bug preventing my main character from obtaining new badges. I mean, it normally takes as long as it did on my hunter for a badge to drop. Even then, you shouldn't have to switch to an alt just to finish this particular exotic quest.

I used to do the little hunts every single time I got a Corsair badge but I haven't had one drop in the Dreaming City for several months now. Just this week I've spent a good few hours there and nothing. I have heard some people say that they stop dropping if you let the 'Corsairsbane' quest expire. I think this might be what happened with me. I may have let it expire or maybe even deleted it myself because I had done it so many times that I didn't care about it anymore. A few times in recent weeks I have wondered why I no longer had the badges drop, but I wasn't really all that bothered because I no longer needed them. I just assumed they stop after certain number of 'Corsairsbane' completions. Now that these badge drops are a requirement to completing the Truth quest I hope that Bungie fix it soon.

The funny thing is I had one of the map fragments drop that I already completed, which was the get 60 kills on Nessus while Ascendant and I completed it twice and it counted towards my progress. Didn't even have to do the corsair map fragment piece.

Just grinded for 6 hours and nothing. What is going on

Players: Bungie, Husk of the Pit isn't dropping. The drop rate seems bugged. Bungo: Drop rate is fine. It's just bad luck. Keep grinding. "Months go by" Players: Bungie, something is off with the drop rate for Husk of the Pit. It ISN'T dropping. Bungo: Everything is fine and working as intended. Just keep grinding. Sometimes RNG is a cruel mistress. "More months go by" Players: Bungie, sort your shit out. Husk of the Pit is bugged. Bungo: After much research and inspection, we have determined that the drop rate for Husk of the Pit is indeed bugged and has been bugged this whole time. We've fixed the bug and things should be corrected now. Players: Jesus -blam!-ing Christ...

I haven't had one drop for months. Spent two hours, minimum, in the dreaming city today. Multiple rift generators, multiple bay of drowned wishes, multiple 'enemies are moving together' and nothing.

1 ReplyMine were dropping until I deleted 3 of them because I can’t scan the damn Corsair on the ground. Gives me the prompt to hold square to scan, fills the meter then does nothing. I can leave area and come back but still won’t progress the quest step. So I deleted them thinking maybe they are bugged. After deleting 3 they stopped dropping. Spent an hour in the dreaming city for nothing to drop. Extremely frustrating that I can’t get the truth because of bugs like this

Yeah, I spent 12-3 am trying to find one of these and I didn't find one. You are clueless if you think this is not a bug. The drop times are either 5 seconds - 20 mins, or 3+ hours with no drop, which is definitely off.

I've been having this problem since the second week of Forsaken. I've posted about it a few time here. No answer. Now I need one to get Truth and still can't get one. It's not an rng problem. It's bugged and needs to be fixed.

1 ReplyMade a similar post in a thread about the same issue, but it seems like this is definitely a bug, given how many people it appears to have affected by the issue. Definitely worried now, seeing as how Bungie's tied progression for this exotic to a potentially bugged piece of side content almost no one's paid any real attention to for a good, long while.

I remember getting these badges every now and then back when I first got to the city on my Titan, but then they just stopped dropping. It *never* took this long for one badge bounty to drop, so I feel like it is bugged for my character.

The scorn PE in the strand is a good place to start, I use telesto and massacre loads of them, took about 3 minutes.

1 ReplyI went and did the lost sector in Mists and didn't get one. Then i went and killed some Scorn in The Strand and got one to drop. It's just RNG :/

1 ReplyI can attest to this as well. Been here for almost an hour or in fact an hour and few hundreds of enemies killed and not one has dropped. It seem's whenever something comes out their always seem to have a bug in the system.

Best thing to do is redo quest on different account and make sure you pick up two corsair bounties before you start the quest.

The amount of times I have had this drop and deleted it because it's annoying as hell and now I need it for Truth...........................damn!!

I'm just amazed I didn't already have one after playing this game nonstop and having not done a Corsair down since November Grinded for an hour last night too and nothing

Edit: what is interesting, is that friend of mine got 1 right after completing said bounty that he already had in pursuits... Rng, right.

4 RepliesI killed about 20 scorn and got one to drop. I think the secret is to not pick up the quest until you get the corsair down first. Bungie tends to dry up resources when you need them. So if you grind for the corsair down before you get the quest, your golden.
