Anthem was a poor imitation of what destiny was, the probably used D2 as the template and then screwed it up worse.

That’s a shocking inditement on the state of D2.

I never thought I would ever tune into a forum just to see how badly Bungie’s abysmal ideas have set this place ablaze. But the other guy is right, even the Bungie haters are flying off the handle as well, even though I tend to agree with them over the fanboy diehards. But some of us rather watch the 🔥🔥🔥in the forums for entertainment because since D1 or just D2 Forsaken, the game has not been entertainment. So sit back, relax, and just wait to see how 3500 is going to be a lot harder than the people saying “I will half ass comp to 3500 for the sniper” 🍷🍷🍿🍿🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Yeah 3500 will bd a crazy grind. Before you only had to get 2100.

For some people that fun is ruined by several things, that's why they get frustrated. It's not entirely delusional just because you can play and have fun, doesn't mean everyone else can. Have you seen the list of nerfs? Everything people use is being nerfed because Bungie don't like that people use them and that was just SOME of the nerfs, which means there's even MORE, then there's no mention of buffs. So Bungie are once again giving players more choice in exotics by making them all bad. It's hard not to get frustrated when all you see are nerfs and whatever buffs do get rolled in, they usually aren't anything super special. Again, it's fine if you can still play and have fun and I'm not saying you shouldn't, by all means I'm glad you can have fun. But others are a little more invested in what happens to the game and their favourite gear, etc.

Honestly I hate using every single thing they nerfed, and I hate feeling obligated to do so in high tier end game activities, so I am definitely not bothered by them lol. Not sure why everyone else is, or why it is a surprise. That always happens when there are big outliers in performances. Bungie never said they wouldn't nerf stuff, even in the Go Fast update they left the option open to nerf stuff later. I really am not sure why everyone was surprised or freaking out about them. But apparently I am in the minority. I guess most people just love playing the same exact way as everyone else in activities. Fun stuff.

Nobody is surprised by a couple of nerfs here and there or the fact nerfs happen in the first place. People are surprised that the whole lot is being nerfed and pissed off that they aren't trying to buff before nerfing. They're taking things that people like and throwing them in the trash. If Bungie don't want people to rely on super regen exotics, maybe they should have other better ways to get supers aside from dumping 5 super mods on armor so you can't run other mods, etc. I can understand not wanting to have to use gear, I don't like having to use cheesy meta gear in PvP to have fun either but here we are. I just hate the fact that Bungie are removing my choice. I like having supers and the orbs dropped by other supers vary too much, they're usually small orbs for no particular reason. On top of that, most other exotics in the game suck, alot. Why would I use half the exotics available to me on my warlock for example in PvE? They aren't very effective and most of them are made with PvP in mind. Why would I use anything but one eyed mask when I get free health in PvE and PvP? So now because Bungie made the reckoning based off how good the super exotics are, an issue caused by them in the first place, they're making EVERYTHING bad rather than just trying to make other exotics better BEFORE hitting the nerf button. They may not have said they won't nerf but they said that they don't want to only nerf, yet that's exactly what they're doing. No matter what they buff, unless it's a big buff in most cases, people won't care. You don't like having to use super exotics, that's understandable, I don't want to use the other exotics because they aren't worthwhile. Instead of forcing it to be one way or the other, Bungie should be trying to meet us half way. Heaps of exotics need an overhaul and ability damage needs to be adjusted on several abilities, melee especially because most exotics focus on granting ability recharge but those abilities are weak, another reason people prefer supers.

I don't disagree with the activities being built around op meta stuff. I main a titan, so reckoning tier 3 is a pain if not playing with friends lol. The big picture though is they have been buffing the past year. Literally this last year has been almost entirely buffs. The sandbox has had alot of time to sit and show what works well and what doesn't. The problem with buffing everything else more is that it makes pve content too easy then, so if you also buff the difficulty of pve content then all you get is a nerf to the good stuff. That is what happened to bubble in pvp when they buffed the damage of everything. Bubble wasn't buffed while everything else was, and so bubble was indirectly nerfed because it couldn't perform as well as it did. Bubble used to be hard to pop, now it pops to everything. My big guess for these nerfs if that there are cheeses and mechanics in the new content that would have been a problem had they not addressed the exotics they did. That is my guess ultimately.

I'm sure theres a reason for the nerfs and there's been a few buffs but they primarily targeted PvP, I'm yet to see an exotic armor buff that helps PvE. That's what I'm saying, I hate that there's so many pieces of crap armor and weapon wise in PvE that haven't been touched and instead we're losing what strong gear we have because of an issue Bungie made and haven't bothered trying to fix until it's too late and they feel they can only nerf. Of course then there's the fact that whisper was always going to end up broken by making it black hammer again and bungie KNEW that but used it as part of their marketing campaign for Warmind anyway which shows utter disregard for players, but hey that's another conversation entirely...

Yeah I dunno why Bungie brought in Whisper like that except to build hype and power fantasy. I think the super regen exotics were tuned because that raid looks like it has a crap ton of adds in it. If you had dire skull slova. Endless supers

I know why they're nerfing them, the issue is that they're nerfing them and they aren't talking about fixing the worthless shit. If there's heaps of ads, why wouldn't we use super regen exotics? There's simply nothing else to use in that situation. There's nothing that beefs up our abilities to make them better for ad clearing, there's nothing that improves ability regen to the point nowhere it actually FEELS like it's working and there's shit all that makes our supers or weapons better. Bungie should have been spending time trying to make other exotics feel worthwhile rather than waiting until the 3 weeks before a new expansion to just panic nerf it all so we go into next season both frustrated and weakened.
