Nope they are opening PvP back up to an enormous playerbase who don’t have the time or ability to get LH/NF and don’t want to spend their time getting stomped in quick play by sweat teams.
Also if there was an exotic gun, which could have been picked up in the general exotic loot pool that performed as well as either of these guns the hardcore PvP community would have had it nerfed into the ground months ago.

But yeah, i'm sure the gun is the problem.

I can’t speak to the pc experience but they are a major problem on consoles. The high recoil and bloom on consoles makes AoS significantly less viable on console than on PC.

Those are the problems, but bungie has literally said no fvck you we're too lazy to address the actual issue so we're going to punish all the console players who have grinded for this gun and spent weeks if not several seasons getting there.

But they aren’t just outgunning handcannons. They are better than every other handcannon for the reasons listed above. They’re better than everything else because they clearly aren’t balanced.

Edited by Crucify: 4/26/2019 11:26:51 AMThey are absolutely not better than everything else, there is a myriad of weapons with faster TTK's and WAY higher ranges, like pule rifles which currently make 3 weapon classes obsolete. Also fun fact, out of all the PvP pinnacle weapons, Lunas and NF have the slowest TTK's.

They have access, had access and have plenty of counters to lh/nf

Edited by OriginalMrDave: 4/26/2019 11:10:38 AMThere aren’t counters to LH/NF. They are far and away better than any other gun in the PvP sandbox not only hand cannons. They’re also significantly better than other pinnacle weapons. They are fundamentally unbalanced and then put into the hands of elite PvP players further doubling down on their effectiveness. If they were exotic weapons in the general loot pool that performed this well they’d of been nerfed months ago, Bungie have clearly staved off nerfing them as long as they can but it’s a step in the right direction to making PvP (particularly quick play) slightly less toxic.
