Its the same old Bungie.
Nerf the hell out of all sorts of fun items. They are just not capable of buffing other items to bring some kind of balance.
They swing from one end of the spectrum to the other on a very consistent basis. Not good enough.
I feel for those players who struggle against NF or LH, so give them buffs in other weapons to try and go head to head......... No, Bungo just hit that same old switch...... NERF!
All this said though, we all know it happens. Switch one Meta off to create a new one, and it will happen.

You can buff 6 weapons up to nf, or you can lower one weapon down. Which is easier, balancing 6 guns perfectly, or one? Which is less likely to break the entire game, having 6 potential mistakes, or one? The ttk on Luna/nf is already almost faster than the average human reaction time. Add in network latency and the gun kills before you see it. You want every gun to be like this, there will be no "power fantasy." Every person will die in one hit. Doesn't seem very superhuman to me.

Edited by Dunkinuts: 4/26/2019 8:34:29 AMNerfing an item when so many people invested time getting it, is ok then! Bungie are at fault here. They create these weapons, supers etc and cannot see what that means in the actual game. The game testing seems very minimal to me. For example, lets make the essence work in all game modes.... Oh hang on, PvP is now Mayhem on every mode by a grenade spamming version. I mean really! They could not see that happening. If we continue to bow to these nerfs as we have since D1 without sounding out at them, then they themselves will not improve and continue this swing from one extreme to the other. I have LH, I dont use it a lot. I find it situational at best, but thats in my sad hands lol. There are plenty of weapons out there that can deal with it, surely its down to the players getting to grips with it. Going off your point, then why have pinnacle weapons at all? If there are none then players wont play.

Wait a minute, you are saying that Bungie has trouble introducing balanced things. Your solution is not to correct the mistake, but to double, triple, even sextuple down on it - really just pull everything up to the same terd sandwich they just made. Because no nerfs Really?

Are you saying Bungie do not have trouble introducing balanced items? Yes I am saying they have trouble introducing balanced items and if you think not, you might want to eat that turd sandwhich! You go around my points totally........ Pick out what you want to suit your opinion, thats fine, Im happy to listen to peoples opinions, but hey, you gotta listen to mine.... So what about gamers grinding for pinnacle weapons, then they are nerfed? No answer What about not having a pinnacle weapon to aim for? No answer I'm on the fence with the LH and NF being nerfed, I would like to see action on the issue, I just don't want those weapons nerfed.

Edited by Gonchin: 4/26/2019 12:28:25 PMThose pinnacle weapons are still there. They will still be strong as -blam-. A 150 hand cannon that can 3 tap is still going to be stupid strong, and incredibly forgiving. So yes, the pinnacle weapon of LH/NF is STILL AVAILABLE, still strong, and still very much meta. Just because you had to work for something does not mean it has free reign to be broken as fuk. Plain and simple. It still needs to exist within the boundaries of Destiny. I focused on your point because it is a stupid thing to think. Look, you made a balancing mistake, it was too strong. Fine, just nerf it back into place, like every other development team in the history of gaming. Everybody makes mistakes, especially in such complex systems. This whole "don't nerf, buff other things" is such a stupid and impractical approach that you don't even need to look at your other points. Let's say there are 10 things in a game ( call them A-J), all evenly matched. You add another thing (K), but release it far too strong. It i meant to be slightly stronger than the rest, but this one just blows everything out of the water - what do you do? A. Adjust K until it is in balance with the other 10. Maybe some slight nerfs and buffs of a single thing until you find the right balance. B. No nerfs - Buff A-J upwards. You messed up B,C,F and E - they are far too strong now. A, D and H basically didn't change. G and I are super weak now. K is in the middle... So you buff A,D,H,G,I and K. A is now far too strong. Balancing 11 things at once is tough. So you buff B-K. B,C,F,G and I now are too strong. So you buff...
