Know what? I’ve got Luna’s. And I’m glad they’re nerfing it. Hopefully it will encourage more variety. It’s not like the gun is going to be trash. Just won’t fire as quickly.
The elite crucible players should challenge themselves with using other guns instead of pubstomping lobbies with the easiest and most forgiving hand cannons out there. Crucible is stale af. It needs a change. And guess what? The nerfs are nothing new.
Anyone who played D1 should know that by now. Guns have their glory days. Then they get the axe and then comes the next meta. Rinse and repeat. Hopefully this change will bring back some more of the casual player base so crucible might start being fun again.

Here’s where you’re wrong they’re making them into 150 rpm precision hand canons - they are keeping their recoil characteristics and can three tap only requiring two head shots and a body. All other 150s are lightweight frame and have a buck ton of recoil and bloom and require three headshots to kill. If they didn’t people would use them already. LH and NF will still beat other HCs most of the time on console. On PC they were never an issue anyway. The better thing to do would be to reduce/remove bloom and increase stability so other hand canons become viable as is already the case on PC.

Duke is a 110, bro. You're too used to Luna's, you've forgotten everything about other weapons.
-
Not spoiled by Luna’s, used duke a long time and found it to be shit, now I know why
-
Isn't the Duke a 110?

You know what? You’re right. We all knew this was going to happen because it’s the Destiny way. I just can’t wait for all these casuals to return so I can clean the floor with them. I wonder what they’re gonna whine about next.

Ace/last word/shotgun.

My money is on mountaintop

You don’t really see mountaintop. The recluse on the other hand
-
I have lunas mountaintop and recluse pairing recluse with mountaintop is a super aggressive playstyle load out

Edited by panther2811: 4/26/2019 12:08:44 PMFrom my expieriences across multiple seasons i can say, that competitive matchmaking is already pretty bad and the population is very low, leading to playing agianst the same people multiple times in a row. So what point is it in nerfing those rewards till they arent viable no more? A Kindled Orchid with Killclip or Rampage can do the same thing that the updated Luna/Nf can. They have very high aim assist and are very easy to use, leading to players abusing the sh*t out of these weapons. The ease of use and the fast time to kill leads to those weapons beeing the most used weapons on console, in other words, the meta on console consists of nothing but luna/NF. On PC, The weapons are very hard to get and only few people have them. It has little aim-assist and requires the player to pace and land its shots. They say that NF/Luna wont even be worth going after, which would lower the already pretty low comp population even more. To all those saying that there was a change needed cause on console, those weapons are the only ones viable: I know that those weapons are OP and easy to use, i also think that they need to be adjusted at some point, i just think that the descision Bungie made with changing the Archtype is not the right way to balance those weapons. When I look at the most used weapons on PC and compare them with most used on console, i can clearly see that there are big differences. This balance change may be reasonable on Console, it definitly isnt on PC. . If you Look at the statistics on PC, Ace of spades Takes up 57% of Competitive kills, Luna takes 10% and NF Doesnt even make it in the Top 5. so i cant see there beeing an issue with those guns on PC. Thus, i suggest, as one alternetive balance option, to splitt the sandboxes apart and have each sandbox have their own balance changes. Another option, would be to lower the aim-assist just on console, making it harder to use and actually taking skill to be successfull with. If you think about it, this will make the Luna/NF not special anymore, you could even say that it isnt a pinnacle. The Time To Kill is the same as other 150RPM Handcannons, u just require 2crit 1body to kill instead of 3crit.This wont really make a difference, because people that are good enough to earn Luna/NF are probably good enough to 3crit anyways, meaning the perk is pretty useless

More Jotunn

Well you could have just buff other primarys but no you had to nerf the weapon that people worked hard to get to perform(I am currently on a quest step) for the people that lazy playerbase who pay you bucks for dlc and won't compete in competitive to gain anything.thanks I quit. forget this game....
-
There will ALWAYS be a meta. People will stick to a loadout they think gives them the best advantage. If you nerf lunas/nf like this, prepare to be demolished by aces and retolds (which is actually worse).

Last Perdition
-
Bygones and blast furnace plus jotuun that's what your going to see more of.
-
Not on console. They are much more harder to use there
-
Ace is far too forgiving.... if u think so Ace have 60% of cruicble hc kills and lunas 5% dont whine bc there better players out there who outgun you with NF and dont blame the gun blame yourself. And new players shouldnt go into comp they blame the guns bc there bad players and with the gun they srill loose the fights
-
That's because you play on PC, where bloom is not a problem. Things are much different on console.
-
If a player is complaining about the grind and how hard they struggled nobody cares it was their choice. Only bad players where LH and NF perk is a crutch are complaining. If you think it isn't a crutch you would be able to kill players with anything and not care. I'm very interested to try and play as much PvP as I used to now that people have to actually "git gud".
-
The only reason I’m pissed is I got it less than 24 hours before they announced the changes.
-
Aww man bad luck friend. Did you at least get recluse while you are sitting on that elo? A little silver lining? I know that you were probably looking forward to abusing it hahaha So even though it seems like Bungie is definitely going to nerf it did you at least feel like you are better than you were? I don't like the game types in comp and have too much I'll stuff to chase recluse atm. So I just play with my friends but I don't really have growth as a player unless I'm playing people better than me. I like lower elo comp when I did it for thorn (got the whole void step done in only a little over an hour) but understand it's not the same when you get up there. I only felt like I started to get some decent players my last couple games.
-
I got recluse as the announcement came out and found that it matched my aggressive play style much more. I do feel as if I’m a better player for my trial by fire. Now I just gotta pair it up with a kinetic.
-
Arbalest if you got it and that's your thing (I love bows and fusions/linears). If I had the recluse oh yeah I would run that for sure. Everyone says that now recluse will be the next nerf and I would be mad about them nerfing that one. When the recluse was new and more in the crucible I could tell who was carried/paid for it because it doesn't hold their hands like LH/NF does. You HAVE to get that first kill, you HAVE to know how to manage your health and the reload, and you HAVE to be aggressive to use the perk. Otherwise you might as well not be running it and that why we don't see it very much atm. People are trash and thinking they are good because of LH/NF.
