  • Agreed, but the time grind to get "pinnacle weapons" is slightly absurd imo. I started playing back when House of Wolves dropped, and I'm no fan of giving exotics away or locking op weapons behind Raids or tasks that require team play if you're solo. I've been on both sides of this through the changes and friends have come and gone from playing Destiny. I just think they need to figure out a balance between PvP and PvE or seperate them completely. I've also played long enough to know that a new meta will show up within a week or two after the nerf. These are still going to be the only precision framed 150hcs so I'm curious to see how it really is nerfed? 150s are typically doodoo on console because of bloom. Comp did get boring at times seeing the same builds, but it wasn't any different with teams running self res locks w/double stickys w/ Ram....or bubble titans with those fckn gauntlets or teams running Helm and Crest of Alpa...Eyelunas..Icebreaker..Palindrome..Hacksaw...I can keep going. Point is, there's always going to be a meta that more than half of the player base will complain about and it always ends in a nerf. Maybe complain about better maps? Or buffing other weapons to compete...I don't know, but the nerfing does get old after awhile when that's how they draw some people into buying the game for pinnacle rewards? Shoulder shrug... I'm up for anything that makes sense other than always nerfing, seems kind of lazy imo.

  • Yeah... this is the problem with Destiny 2 as a whole in its current state. Too much grind for the reward. Then, those rewards are ultimately nerfed and you feel cheated, due to the investment required to get it in the first place. At the core, Bungie has got to go back to the drawing board on player investment. They are way off base. The nerf or obsolescence pattern will continue if they don't wise up, and they will continue to stab even their biggest fans in the back. I just don't think it is sustainable, especially now that they are solo.

  • Because we have dumped so much time into earning these guns.

  • 1. Because of the grind 2. Because of the actual fun using it Nerfing isnt the solution... Fix bloom and buff the other HCs is. Look at the meta on PC, you don't see many lunas/NFs. I want my Ace to be able to compete with a 180 that people grinded their asses off getting. Because my Ace is a freaking exotic gun!

  • You knew the gun was OP, otherwise you wouldn’t have bothered chasing the gun, and you knew based on history that Bungie nerfs OP guns, so you shouldn’t be surprised.

  • We also seen bungie say this. Pay close attention to the 1 minute 4 second mark about jagged pieces. https://youtu.be/BR8zUeEUIJY

  • ^^^THIS. EXACTLY! I knew this damn nerf was coming- and rightfully so. It's a novelty gun now, just like the Redrix Broadsword. But it will still be a beast in the hands of a skilled user!

  • I agree, I won't say anything about what I think about the nerf, but I do think its become one of those guns that's better to have than to use, sadly.

  • So true glad you understand the trends don't know why others don't see it or ignore the facts it promotes variety though nerfs and buffs have actually been something I look forward to it's why I save all my godrolls for every archytype.
