If you are a pve player, the only weapon that is really fun (in pve) is the Recluse. It's kind of like breakneck but more deadly in close quarters as it does more damage on only one kill. Mountain top too I suppose, but that's a bit of a hard grind so I don't recommend you go for it. For my advice: grind comp and follow around other players to assist or revive them. Be the first to cap zones in control. Grind for a good dust rock/mindbenders and go for some easy one shot kills when you are assisting teammates. An erentil or telesto are also great options if you like fusions. With a bit of luck and grinding, you will most likely get to fabled this season, but you must persist. People give up when they lose repeatedly a few times. If that happens, just quit and resume on the next day. I am not a great player but have all pvp comp weapons (except nf) and have gotten them solo. I can tell you that this season is much easier than the others.
