Exactly. If you observed it then it didn’t matter if others do too.

Yes it does. Especially in a place where hyperbole is expressly used. If i said "gravity is a thing" and you said "prove it" id throw an apple straight up and let it fall on you. If you cannot replicate the results it is just a theory.
