Incase you missed this nugget, there is apparently another community summit coming that of course is streamers/content creators only...... AGAIN.......
Once again this proposed summit is to take place March 27-29. To discuss Season 7 and other future content..
Here is what I expect will be the first question the streamers/YouTubers will ask .... Future if Trials of The Nine/Osiris?
Not the hot button topics that populate this feedback forum such as Enhancement Core/ Infusion System Issues, the latest NERF( UNCALLED FOR BTW) patch, the OP Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten, PvP steps in quest lines(cuz Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten dominant crucible), and my personal favorite RECYCLED CONTENT FROM D1....
I personally don't see a point to have a D3 or expansion beyond the season content. D2 has been a utter disappointment that just can't seem to get anything right.
What say you community, is D2 dead or dying?

527 RepliesThe players selected for this summit are also representing their respective corners of the internet, covering feedback topics from their communities to discuss. Cozmo and I frequently bring feedback directly from Bungie.net, Twitter, and other forums to the table. We will continue to ensure that your voices are heard. Luna's/NF, Enhancement cores, Quests, and other topics have been discussed, and we will continue to bring the feedback to the team.

24 RepliesI couldn't be less excited to hear the news that another "community summit" is being held. Primarily because voices from the community will not be heard, and secondarily because the previous "community summit" is why the game is as bad as it is right now. For all the things Bungie improved Destiny 2 with from Forsaken, they completely destroyed it under tons of empty grind (REMOVE ENHANCEMENT CORES FROM INFUSION) coupled with a throttled and esoteric leveling system, and then they made all meaningful loot drops far stingier (exotics, catalysts, Nightfall drops, cosmetic items needed for titles). This game shot right past an enjoyable "hobby" to the soulless crush of a second job. There isn't even FOMO anymore (fear of missing out), there's FODIHTGTTFACAGWIW??? (Fear of Damn, I have to go through THAT for a CHANCE at getting what I want???). Bungie would do well to hold an online streamed community summit, open to ALL players who can share actual feedback from the regular gamer's point of view. Or, as many have suggested, just make a survey available online and post a notice of it on the loading screen so all active players are aware that Bungie is sourcing feedback. Burying themselves in a hotel ball room with the few content creators they have left isn't going to get them any further than the last time; with a game that the average Destiny player dislikes. As for your question of "Is Destiny 2 Dead or Dying?" It's dying, but that's likely the result of it being an older game, facing stiff competition as well as a growing gamer dislike of "live services" games, as much as it is the bad word of mouth and mishandling by Bungie. It's player engagement numbers are bad for Destiny but are still fairly solid for a live services game of it's age. Destiny as a franchise likely still has a long future ahead of it; we just have to decide if Destiny is going to be a part of OUR futures as well or if it's time for us to move forward without it. At any rate, I'm popping some popcorn and preparing for the second trainwreck that will undoubtedly be "Community Summit 2: Electric Boogaloo".

65 RepliesTop 5 streamer requests 1: Raid mechanics need to be more complex. 2: Longer grind for pinnacle weapons. 3: Double the amount of enhancement cores it takes to master work gear. 4: Loss penalties to apply in QuickPlay. 5: We need more jumping puzzles.

4 RepliesEdited by BlueKiBlast: 3/14/2019 5:02:41 PMAnyone complaining about streamers/youtubers are the same ones looking up their guides for new raids and quest. What a joke this community is.
-
18 RepliesThe streamers are not the "elite" of the Destiny community. They are the modern equivalent of a busker on the street. They plop their hat on the sidewalk, and passerby drop pennies in based on their performance. Bungie is running a dangerous game by listening to street performers for feedback. What sort of mess would Stihl be in if they asked the chainsaw juggler on the street to design their next model? It would spin like nothing else. More likely to kill the user than cut a tree.

3 RepliesMy final thoughts are this After the summit we will get "Positive feelings on the direction" "Bungie listened to our concerns" BUT "I can't talk about what was discussed due to a Non Disclosure Agreement" This is why the summit is just another PR move to hype lackluster content.
-
1 ReplyIf they continue down this road they are done for. Such a shame, a game with so much potential run into the toilet and flushed several times with little coming up for air. Just terrible, so unfortunate.

4 RepliesThe hilarious thing about these summit's is that the invite and cater to the guys that will be the first to abandon the game when they get bored. The biggest joke is constant blaming of the casuals for D2 year one. That game was catered to these same youtubers and pvp streamers that are going to the summit. If you look at the changes made in D2, they weren't appealing to the casuals. The changes were made to balance PVP. Bungie respond to these guys complaints and the result was D2 year one. How the casuals constantly get blamed for something they had no input in is beyond me. Was there a summit for the casuals that I am unaware of? And here we are again catering to the guys that will supposedly speak for the community only to push for changes that primarily benefit themselves. They will no life the game for a couple of weaks, get burned out and leave and play other games. Invite some "real players" to your summit.

2 RepliesWith all the hate that Anthem gets and EA gets, one good thing that comes with it is, they are communicating with the playerbase. They don't just say 'your feedback is heard, we will pass it along' or any other generic canned responses, they are transparent about things. Which is why I think that the players they do have, enjoy the game more. Something as simple as 'we cannot buff super duration because of x y and z' will go a long way to ease concerns even if their concerns are not addressed.bugie does not have to please everyone, but they can at least inform them

If it isn’t, it should be.

Enhancement Core/ Infusion System Issues
Bungie already said they have no plans to change it currently. Stop beating a dead horse.
the latest NERF( UNCALLED FOR BTW) patch
If you're still whining over the Whisper ammo nerf you're hopeless. Yes, Trench shotties got toned down but so many things got buffed to finally be viable in PvE content that it's a fine trade off.
the OP Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten
Plenty of streamers are tired of those weapons too. Stop branding all content creators as defenders of them.
PvP steps in quest lines(cuz Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten dominant crucible)
Stop being entitled and play the whole game to enjoy all the content. If you opt to not play a part of the game don't expect to obtain every Exotic that comes out.
and my personal favorite RECYCLED CONTENT FROM D1....
So long as they're not the main focus of a DLC this isn't as big of a deal as you claim it is.
-
4 RepliesThe first question the streamers will ask is..... Can you guys do something big? we're not making money and I can't pay my half of the rent and my mom is upset.
-
1 ReplyI don’t necessarily mind recycling content from D1 mainly because some of the gear from d1 is good. I only have a problem when there is more recycled content than new content.
-
4 RepliesWhy would they bring someone from this forum to the summit? Just because you're caught up in this echo chamber of a forum doesn't mean you know what the community wants
-
why would they invite some no name players to show their new ideas? and most people in bungie.net forums are whiny crybabies mother-blam!-er that complains about everything they can't win.
-
11 RepliesD2 is such a disappointment that you bought the annual content pass 😂😂😂 Stop crying. Game is fine and the last Summit got us Forsaken. Now tell me. Where on the dolly did the streamers hurt you?
-
Destiny 2 has been on a downwards spiral since it's release and forsaken has only slowed it. The damage of D2 being utterly shit, at release not only effected the title but the company as a whole. I personally think they should just drop destiny as a title because there ruining a game I once loved. oohh how I miss d1...
-
5 RepliesNeither, im still having a great time playing d2 🙂

3 RepliesEdited by $hirtless Captain Kirk: 3/14/2019 1:43:58 PMMaster, Master!! Video is off topic based on your name. Now to roast you. So your suggestion is that they invite nameless neckbeards with no name recognition, foot the bill, and then no return on their expenditure from "free" marketing associated with streamers? You need to accept the fact that you aren't a person with name recognition or notoriety....like most of us. You want Bungie to send a bunch of neckbeards on a Destiny holiday basically. FN get real dude. Master Master

10 RepliesI swear everytime I see one of these posts all i can ever hear Is... "I'm important, my mama said so!" If you take offense to this or try to justify your actions. You will be just proving my point. Of course their not gunna ask you for your feedback. You represent nothing, you are not a community leader nor a high value player. I too get ignored but I know the reasons why, maybe you should learn your place and move up if your voice is to be heard.
-
21 RepliesI just despair really, why do Bungie think people who spend their whole lives on a game to make money speak for all of us? They want things more complex and time consuming so they can pump out guides and videos on what to do. This game is already so convoluted, it needs streamlining, NOT more layers of fluff to waste our time. Or not to make raids harder as most of us have to use LFG teams to complete, not a full time pro raid team where we know each member and their specific role.
-
4 RepliesLol. Yes, let’s have another summit with the same fools who helped destroy this game so they can discuss how they can further destroy consumer faith in this company and how they can ensure that no one will but the die hard, blinder wearing fans and streamers will buy any more Bungie titles.
-
Edited by TeeJa VasAlarei: 3/15/2019 4:16:05 AMMeh. Bought the annual pass and I now know that I just should have saved the time/money. Send the message when the next game/expansion/pass comes out and do not buy it. Bungie has made it pretty clear that they don’t really care about the average joe. There are plenty of other games out now that properly reward a players time and effort.
-
1 ReplyI dislike how there’s a NDA for this “summit”. Why do they feel the need to hide what’s being talked about? Isn’t the point of the “summit” to add new ideas/fix things? The community should at least have an idea/list of what’s going to be talked about
-
What do you think they should grab a stack of random complainers off the forums? Of course they are grabbing people with a actual vested interest in the games success. I mean I’ll go if they want me to.
-
27 RepliesDo bungie not know how to create surveys and send them out via email? Feels like it'd be a far better way to gather feedback from a much wider cross section of the community. EA sends out surveys for some of their games, i've filled them out for Battlefront, Anthem and Mass Effect before.
