"Herp, derp actually 'casuals' ruined Y1 and Forsaken saved it by calibrating it for those putting in 30 hour weeks". Y1's problems were never about "pandering to casuals", just a lack of content. Now players who've been around for years are dropping like flies. Populations are on a par with the same point in Y1, thet Disaster That Nearly Killed The Franchise, and tracking a similar death spiral. Fact is that nolifers and streamers are parasites that are almost certainly going to kill their host. -blam!- it, I'm nearly past the point of giving a shit anyway, Borderlands 3 is on the horizon ... and I seriously doubt that Destiny 3 is ever going to happen based on the current trend, not that I'd give Bungie another cent based on the past six months.
