Short answer.
Really? Wanna try and think this one thru again?
Yes really, and no because I already know it’s true.

"I dont have to prove it cause i know its true" Just like they "knew" the earth was flat, and that the earth was at the center of the solar system, they "know" this so they dont have to prove it.
"I dont have to prove it cause i know its true" Just like they "knew" the earth was flat, and that the earth was at the center of the solar system, they "know" this so they dont have to prove it.
Not the same thing. I observed it myself so it’s not a theory.
-
And i observed a unicorn. Guess that means they exsist right? Because i observed it, i dont need to prove it to others, i saw it one time so its a fact they exsist.
And i observed a unicorn. Guess that means they exsist right? Because i observed it, i dont need to prove it to others, i saw it one time so its a fact they exsist.
Exactly. If you observed it then it didn’t matter if others do too.
-
Yes it does. Especially in a place where hyperbole is expressly used. If i said "gravity is a thing" and you said "prove it" id throw an apple straight up and let it fall on you. If you cannot replicate the results it is just a theory.

Has to be interesting to watch and play. No one will stick around just for an enhancement core grind.
Has to be interesting to watch and play. No one will stick around just for an enhancement core grind.
I never said Bungie made a good change based on Goth’s feedback and that farming cores is fun to do or watch. The overcorrection of Forsaken into the “endagame only” annual pass is a reaction to what they heard at the summit. They gave streamers more grind and more endgame. That benefits streamers because they can stream more hours of D2 on more days. Just being live with viewers means more money for them. They provide the entertainment which is why they still play a game so many players have moved on from. They make it interesting.
-
But in turn lowers their viewers(and money) because people don't want to endlessly grind.
-
They build communities of people who want to be their for each other. They aren’t dependent on random people coming in and seeing them and the game for the first time.
-
True But if the content is boring people won't watch. And they won't make money
-
True But if the content is boring people won't watch. And they won't make money
To some extent but anyone who can pull 200+ viewers per stream have built community who subs and watches for the streamer and their stream friends and not the game itself. How many examples of D2 streamers leaving the D2 directory and being as or more successful do I need to cite for you to be satisfied?

So again I have to ask. These people are purposefully disenfranchising players because they're only interested in maintaining a small audience And instead of trying to capitalize on a product that they instead try and get blood from a stone, with the assumption that they can just go to another stone and maybe get more?

Change your name to strawman emporium. I said their motivations only apply to their tiny minority and not the average player. I’m not going to spend all day trying to talk to someone who isn’t trying to listen. We need a survey not a summit. I want to see the game improve mot die. That is all.
-
No obviously that’s not what I said. Change your name to strawman emporium. I said their motivations only apply to their tiny minority and not the average player. .
This is literally what I just said. Think about what you are saying and what it means. Disenfranchising the average players and appealing to a minority results in a loss of revenue. Since the amount of players that play the game/those who watch streams and the streamers revenue are directly correlated. It's not what you said but it's an obvious inference

Since the amount of players that play the game/those who watch streams and the streamers revenue are directly correlated. It's not what you said but it's an obvious inference
No it’s your inference, built into a new argument that isn’t what I said. It doesn’t lose money for streamers because they have built a community that doesn’t require a specific game and can move games at their whim. Ask Dr.Lupo, Gigz, SheSnaos, and so on and so on not counting all the people who went from being Destiny streamers to variety streamers. All they have to do is comeback for a raid and they get thousands of dollars for that month in one streaming session.
-
So I just want to make sure I'm understanding. Now that they're variety streamers They're making more money by disenfranchising the majority of the destiny player base, because there's a select few who will watch them regardless? And the thousands that won't be watching them and subscribing, because the streamers have ruined the game, don't count towards the revenue stream of said streamers? Did I get that right?
-
Another strawman? No that’s not right, and it’s not what I said.
-
So can I ask this then. With your raid example, where these variety streamers have their fanbase that will follow them around regardless of game they play, as you said. Let's say Dr lupo has that core fanbase of 500 people for th sake of argument. And he goes to play a destiny raid after having streamed the division for a couple months. Wouldnt he get those 500 people to watch him as a baseline? And then additional viewers from the destiny community/player base?

It doesn’t matter what I say you’re not trying to listen or understand it, just twist it into what you want to argue with. The summit part 2 is a horrible idea. The repeat of last year isn’t going to help the game get healthy.
-
Yeah that's fair. I'm lost
They increase the amount of grind in the game which increases the number of hours they can stream the game. That gives them more opportunity to get subs and donations. Short answer.
Funny because I don’t even play pve but might watch someone like Goth and they are either Raiding or doing other activities. Definitely not enhancement core farming.
-
You aren’t his core audience, but they will sit around and talk to each other and ask him questions while he farms for cores. That lets him steam longer and get more subs and donos. If you’re going to endlessly argue because you’re a steam fanboy at least use your brain to look deeper than the surface level. Otherwise you’re just wasting our time.

When he needs them he might farm them, he NEVER streams a full stream of farming. You have to give me a little bit more bud, because that’s a stretch. “sTreAmErS mAdE eNhAnCeMeNt cOrEs tO mAkE mOnEy” Like I’ve seen post like that too, Jesus.
