Hey all,
Thank you for your feedback on Enhancement Cores and infusion. I will continue to pass this along to the team. The goal of this currency is to give players meaningful decisions in carrying forward their gear, and also fully masterworking it. At this time, there are no plans to remove Enhancement Cores from infusion, but I can check with the team to see if there are plans for further tuning of acquisition paths or costs.
As it stands, here are the current sources of this currency:
• Spider Wanted Bounties
• Direct Purchase from The Spider
• Scrapper Bounties
• Dismantling Legendary Items at specific Masterwork tiers
• Reaching the Legend rank in Crucible Valor
• Completing the Clan Weekly Challenge after reaching Rank 4

You don't get it. Spider and his bounties are to costly and sluggish. Everything else is practically no existant. Really dismantle legendary weapons. One in a hundred if you're lucky. Just saying

Make it a plan. This is what exactly, 5th year of destiny? You all get pissy when someone puts in question the intelligence of the dev team, you all act all tough and say it "won't be tollerated" to say that people should be fired. But it seems to me you're having a real tough time figuring out the simple fact that you're making a game for the playerbase, not for yourselves. If the playerbase doesn't like it, nobody cares what your intention is. Can you really afford to lose the fraction of the playerbase you're left with now that you don't have activision to pick up your slack?

It is not a meaningful choice - it is a way to further restrict people from creating their favourite builds and using them consistently in endgame content. Remove cores from infusion period. 1400 hours in, I don’t need to add 1400 more just to keep my preferred load outs relevant to the endgame I want to play now.

That’s all good and stuff, but there should be more ways to attain them. Not so they become glimmer 2.0, but enough to make getting them maybe a little bit fun. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: valor rank ups should grant cores, and glory rank ups should grant even more.

Invest your cores in Spyder's Annuity Fund and in ten years you'll be able to afford a new set of butt-ugly armor and a shiny gun that you already trashed 187 times. Lucky you! My reply to everyone complaining about cores is, how about actually doing the activities that reward them? There’s a fair amount of spider bounties every week. Play the game and you get scrapper bounties. Most people I know don’t even do the spider bounties and have a fair stockpile of cores. Most people I asked said that they don’t do the spider’s bounties and when asked if they care about cores or infusion even told me hey didn’t know how to get them. How about you stupid -blam!-s actually read the “copy and paste comment” and see that there are good sources for cores?

I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve thrown enough money at my screen. I do love the game. I just want true content and playable goals. Not those horde modes and core bounties. Kinda thought cores was the low hanging fruit.

They need expansions, not these joker wild whatever you want to come them...updates? DLC? Idk, doesn't sound like enough for me to spend any more money with this franchise.

I was at 650 for a very long time before season of the drifter but never actually managed to get enough cores to masterwork any armor. With constant meta shifts and needing specific weapons to complete exotic quests and pinacle weapons im constantly needing to use new weapons. We all know how to get cores, but its clear there are a lot of people who dont enjoy those methods. We dont play destiny to feel like we need to do chores. The game is supposed to be about power fantasy not home simulator

Limitation doesn’t equate to “meaningful”. It merely serves to handcuff player load outs and thereby, limits fun. Why can’t we have fun? Is this not encouraged in a looter shooter fantasy realm? Standing by to be amazed...

Why would you want the decision to be meaningful? Just let us have fun and use the gear we want, instead of gating it behind unnecessary and hard to come by materials. The game is much more fun when you can use guns that you want to.

People say Bioware falsely advertised Anthem yet defend Bioware for doing that same thing. On every Vidoc, you guys always say, “we designed this for all Playstyles and you can play YOUR way.” Yet the content you release says other wise. At this point Bungie, Bioware is doing Anthem’s Progression better then you are. No Soft Caps, no Infusion Cores, just good ole fashioned Leveling just by playing the game. But with Destiny, it’s grind Power for a bit, stop, grind Dead Ghosts, buy Bounties, farm bounties, then leveling up a little more then rinse and repeat. It’s disgusting and just writing this makes me want to Boycott Destiny like People are boycotting Anthem right now.
