Sometimes more much customization is.... too much
My basis for customization is Borderlands, especially it's skill tree - for me it was simple and straight forward. Things I struggle with (even in Destiny) are all the subtle perks and numbers - it becomes overwhelming.
Another example is Marvel Heros ; every character had 5 to 10 pieces of gear and 2 to 3 pages of skills you could build up to. SMH - I couldn't keep track and struggled to understand what gear or skills worked better or were optimal. I had to go online for direction - either way it was tedious.
I understand that many in Destiny are used to playing games with deep character customization and enjoy it. I'm not one of these. I also believe many others would not enjoy it either; and adding this to Destiny would drive away more players. Just my two cents.
