Bruh I am as hardcore progressive as it gets at stopping people from being asshats to other groups, but this is a step to far. Izanami is a critical piece of Japanese creation mythology. A very apt name for a forge, you know that creates things.

 • Yup it’s regressive to treat humans decently regardless of their background.

 • It's regressive to lack the intelligence to engage in discussion about a nuanced issue without strawmanning the other side. It's regressive to want to control other people in order to force them into blind and unquestioning submission with your desire for how they live/speak/think, regardless of whatever ethic you think you're supporting. It's regressive to virtue signal instead of presenting intelligent arguments based on principle. It's regressive that most "progressives" immediately finger point at anyone who disagrees with anything they say and make rash and stupid assumptions about a myriad of disconnected beliefs. It's regressive that "progressives" are unquestionably the group that is, by a massive margin, the least in favor of true diversity- which is, of course, diversity of thought and agency as individuals. Lastly, only because I'm bored of this, it's regressive that progressives are almost invariably incapable of independent thought, and hate folks who question the absolute objectivity of the progressive party line. Most folks who aren't progressives also don't believe in hate, and many actively resist hateful ideologies. They don't call themselves progressive, however, because they recognize that "progressives" present an ideology that is in direct opposition to progress.

 • Lets break this down because there is a lot to unpack here. Some clarification, being progressive, to me, is being proactive at calling people out on their explicit or implicit bias. That can come in the form of racism, sexism, outright misogyny, homophobia, xenophobia, classicism; the basics. The point that most people have issue understanding is how implicit bias effects their world view since it is way more sublet in most cases.
It's regressive to lack the intelligence to engage in discussion about a nuanced issue without strawmanning the other side.
Unfortunately, when it comes to being shitty to a specific group of people there is not a ton of nuance. You either are treating them like people or your arn't. Unless you want to give some examples, its pretty difficult to know exactly what situations you are referring to here.
It's regressive to virtue signal instead of presenting intelligent arguments based on principle.
lol@ virtue signaling, played out term with no real meaning. So its not ok to point out someone for being a shitter? That's just virtue signalling, OK
It's regressive to want to control other people in order to force them into blind and unquestioning submission with your desire for how they live/speak/think, regardless of whatever ethic you think you're supporting.
Ah so telling people not to be racist, homophobic, ect. is controlling people. I will never be tolerant of intolerance. Hey, you're a black gay furry (SonicFox), right on! Hey, you think that black folk are more likely to commit crime because of some genetic trait that has no evidence to back it up, yeah -blam!- you. That's not controlling how people should think, that's being a functioning human.
It's regressive that most "progressives" immediately finger point at anyone who disagrees with anything they say and make rash and stupid assumptions about a myriad of disconnected beliefs.
Again, hard to know exactly what you are referring to here without examples. If you are saying that you want no immigration, its likely because you have a health dose of xenophobia in you. You may want to hide behind, the mask of "they're stealing our jobs!", but any reputable research shows that immigrants take the jobs that "natives" (i use this word very loosely for places like the US) don't want to do. Or the other classic "We don't even take care of our vets", not a zero sum game, its been proven in places like Texas that you can do both.
It's regressive that "progressives" are unquestionably the group that is, by a massive margin, the least in favor of true diversity- which is, of course, diversity of thought and agency as individuals.
I can't even count the number of rigorous studies that I've read that show that a company with people of diverse backgrounds (ie gender, race, economical, geographic) preform better and are more innovative than those that are wholly homogeneous. Also some thoughts really don't deserve a platform such as -godwinslaw!-, ISIS, or really any group that actively promote violence. (groups that promote violence against -godwinslaw!- and ISIS are good to go though in my book) I hope this was educational and I look forward to your opinion.
