I mean, I see the point form both ends. In D1, my buddies and I would gladly Sherpa people through the raid..... there was usually always an “easy” position for the newbie that they could do and we could do the important stuff. From what I’ve seen of Last Wish, it’s very very mechanic heavy and basically requires everybody to know WTF is going on. I haven’t tried it. Most I did was find a group of sherpas who wanted raid virgins for the Riven fight (stand there Taco and kill adds, an urge spawns here, kill him, if you get the heart just follow us)
Some people don’t have the time or patience to Sherpa. There were many Kings Falls where people for whatever reason couldn’t understand what counter-clockwise meant and many times my raid group wanted to throw controllers after being at KF for over two hours as a result. With such heavy mechanics on LW, I know people don’t want to waste that much time.
Remember, nobody is obligated to give you anything, so don’t complain about not getting something that you aren’t entitled to. Find groups specifically mentioning newbies allowed or Sherpa teams to walk you through.

wrong. you can easily take 1-2 "noobs" through last wish. 1. encounter is pretty easy. you could see it as warm up. I had groups where we majorly -blam!-ed up and still managed to do it. 2. encounter you only need 4 people that know what they're doing. (crystals is pretty easy to pick up and the puzzle only get's confusing when you need to switch people around.) 3. encounter only needs 2-3 people to know what they're doing (only part I have seen noobs get confused with is the cleansing.) 4. encounter need 3 people to know what they're doing. the rest just kills everything that moves. 5. encounter need 1-2 people to know what they're doing. the rest just shoot cluster rockets, golden gun and kamehameha. 6. only confusing part here for the first time is where you need to go. overall I think this raid is pretty easy to teach people.
