I'm a decently techie guy. Normally I can figure out computer problems myself, but I think I need developer help on this one.
Ever since updating my GPU drivers, from (Using AMD Radeon Settings) 18.9.1 to 18.10.1, my game just does this. I have tried literally everything to fix this:
-Rollback of drivers
-Rollback to other driver editions
-Resetting graphics settings through CVAR
-Altering graphics settings through CVAR
-Repairing game in Battle.Net client
-Updating all other drivers
-Reinstalling all software, including a new Windows install
-Registry checks using sfc
-Disk checks using diskchkr
Through my own troubleshooting, here are my observations:
-The game opens fine, and even functions for a split-second before freezing up like you can see in the video.
-The freeze up isn't a strict- 'not responsive' freeze, the game simply does not respond and windows refuses to recognise it as a freeze
-Through ProcessHacker2, no exact program or process is causing Destiny 2 to wait or halt
-A similar issue has cropped up with Black Ops 4, where the game is stuck on a black screen on startup. Not sure if it relates or not
-All my other games work absolutely fine, including Overwatch and Monster Hunter: World
-When I try and open up the game in Windows's Safe Mode with Networking, the game still does this
Which leads me to some conclusions. I don't believe this is a strict error with my graphics drivers alone. I think that if that were the case, then I would have issues with more games, or it would be fixed by a simple DDU clean / reinstall. (Which I have attempted multiple times). I also don't think this is an error with anything strictly on my end. I have literally tried every avenue short of physically swapping GPU's out, which I feel wouldn't fix anything since the game's GUI does load for a short bit before freezing up.
I guess what I want from a developer is to know what is loading at this specific moment of the initializing process, or any help with a way to fix this- I have a feeling it might be an issue to do with a combination of game version, driver version and hardware.
My specs are as follows:
CPU- Ryzen 5 1600x Six-Core Processor 3.60GHz
GPU- Sapphire Radeon RX 480 8gb Founders Edition
RAM- 2x4gb of DDR4 2667
Motherboard- MSI B350M GAMING PRO
Drives- OS drive is an NVMe M.2 Samsung SSD 960, Destiny 2 is installed on a generic 1TB Hard Drive
OS- I'm using Windows 10 Home, version 1803, OS build 17134.345, fully updated.
Any help would be appreciated. I'm kinda at a loss, I really wanna play these games.

Edited by BNGHelp6: 10/22/2018 8:02:13 PMHello. Thank you for your report. I see that you've done a lot of troubleshooting already, so I'll go straight to this with hopes that it will help. It does appear to be an installation issue.
1. Completely uninstall both Destiny 2 and the Battle.net application 2. Delete the following local cache/settings directories:
- %PROGRAMDATA%\Battle.net – %APPDATA%\Battle.net – %LOCALAPPDATA%\Battle.net – %APPDATA%\Bungie\DestinyPC *WARNING* Deleting these will cause you to lose persisted settings, such as logged in users, keybinds and graphics settings in Destiny, etc. The directory names above are actual paths that can be used in Windows Explorer. For example, if you enter "%PROGRAMDATA%" in the Windows Explorer address bar, it will automatically take you to C:\ProgramData (default), which is a hidden directory.
3. Reinstall the Battle.net app and Destiny 2
