It doesn’t get much more “holier than thou” than saying something like what you just said.
It’s not a competition for the worst depression. Not saying you need to donate to this dude or watch his video- I certainly won’t- but you could urge people to seek professional help rather than questioning their motives.

I’m no fan of Youtubers, but that doesn’t mean I can’t empathize with the fact that some people choose the wrong way to seek help for legitimate issues. Questioning his depression isn’t worth the potential consequences. It doesn’t cost you anything more to say “I hope you seek help” than it does to say “meh, I’ve got *real* depression and I think you’re just being pompous”. The potential result of either, however, can end up meaning everything.
