To all those want to talk about a free clear, not everyone woke up one day with 10+ clears and knowledge of every encounter. I guess you forgot where you came from huh? I’d be more than willing to look at your destinytracker.com and raid report and see when you completed your first raids in D2. I’m gonna take a shot in the dark and say it wasn’t the first day and NOT even the first week. Be cool with others who are WANTING to learn. I was that guy and I hold my own. Just did prestige eow for the first time a week or so ago and had a good time doing it. Not everybody is a shitty player. But you wouldn’t know.

  • "Be cool with" Uhh... I'm sure any party that knowingly invited a player wanting to learn would be cool. Instead you get salt because you don't say you didn't know just so you can get in because you know few people want to teach. If you can't find a party well tough luck. Don't drag down a party that had no intention of teaching.

  • Maybe it’s just me, I always watch YouTube and read the steps of how to do stuff. I believe it’s the people that don’t even make that effort that crests the salt in the community. I try to watch multiple video and hop on Reddit and read the “how to” when it comes to the raid I’m wanting to complete. Before I did eater of worlds for tha first I knew everything to do but until you see it in action you’re not 100%, but the team I was on was cool with calling stuff out so I put 2 and 2!together was like oh, ok this is that part. To me, you have to do your research before you attempt something like this but at the same be honest. Every time I posted for a raid I hadn’t done I make it know, I’m a veteran D1, I get the gist of the raids. First time I did leviathan I was the runner, after that I’ve always shot chalice. Like I said, always go into a nightfall, raid, EP, always google to make sure you understand the ins and outs of the activity you’re doing. I ALWAYS do, unfortunately I guess not everybody does.

  • Yeah but some people don’t want to teach new people. They wanna get it done, and not only finish it, but get it done fast. Not everyone has the time, patience, or enthusiasm to teach random strangers on the internet how to do the raid. My advice is to stick to people in your own skill range.

  • Yes I was. And I didn’t whine and complain about elitists.

  • Spent 14 hours in Calus' throne room day one. Even called in for work to get it done.

  • That’s a trooper. 14 hours, I don’t think I have that kind of commitment. I think I’ve spent 8-10 hours trying to beat oryx when that first came out.

  • I carry people when I have time, but most people just don't have the time to spend hours on a raid. This is why people get toxic, not because they just don't like trying to beat something over and over. I can't stand when I have 3 hours to get a raid done and I have 1 or 2 guys who are constantly not doing their job. I'm not trying to be mean, I am just being realistic and saying these guys should watch some more walkthrough videos and practice with people of their skill level some more before holding back a group who could probably get it done with a better player.
