SBMM is catering to casuals

What's wrong. The casual playlist is finally casual? The casual players are no longer protected by the Bungie bubble. You want sbmm? Go play competitive. Sbmm has its place but casuals are abusing it and using it to avoid getting better. All of you salt bois have the same argument saying if sweats were better we would play people of our own skill bracket, the reality is that we do, all the time. Its why were better, because we spend time getting better. If you want to avoid us, stay in competitive, there's your solution

  • Agree 100% . The entire concept being ‘social matchmaking’ is that the matchmaking algorithm is 100% non-skill dependent . Thus, good players are GOOD. Average players are AVERAGE. And bad players are BAD . As a PvP player , you don’t get a trophy for completion . You earn your stripes by working hard , putting in time , and becoming better . If you don’t practice and become a more skilled player , you don’t deserve to get kills , you don’t deserve to get wins . If you do not like the real world of merit = reward , go play competitive skill playlist , where Bungie will match you with equally skilled players . This is a concept from the first game Halo 2 on Xbox Live . Ranked playlists . Social playlists . Stop complaining and enjoy the game and accept your skill level . Live with it , or build upon it .

No, getting rid of SBMM caters to whiny tryhards that want to pad their stats by playing 12 year olds with a .5 k/d.

      • If the casuals were to go into comp., they would just get stomped on because the only people playing are stacked teams and people looking to get the crucible milestone done (casuals). And the casuals would just get thrown together because stacked teams. And the stacked teams would dominate because communication is key. And sure, SBMM is for casuals but that’s because QP is for having casual fun. Not sweaty-meta-shitfest. And because SBMM pairs you with the same people in your skill group, you can get better because there still will be better people playing with you, even if they are only slightly better than you.
