Feels more like a quick play mode but can see how 6 people would make it rather difficult. I would like to see it as a rotating playlist and maybe try it with 6v6 as a quick play mode.

Yeah or 12v12 right? The maps are too small my friend for 6v6. Already crucible is a mess and sometimes confusing because the maps are small ....
