I will not do any events that reward me ONLY tokens any longer
The tokens are worthless.
The gear I can get with them is worthless.
Seriously, why even bother???
EDIT: To me max light does not matter as there is nothing in the game that requires max light, so farming them just to get higher light gear is irrelevant once you get to a certain point.

6 RepliesOnce max light is reached, venders have a 30min refresh with rng for whether any factions will sell max power gear. So bank the tokens and wait for vender refresh.

9 RepliesRemoving random rolls f*cked this system from day one. Once you have all the weapons you can't get improved versions of them because they're exactly the same every time. So what can do you do with the tokens after? Nothing.

6 RepliesPublic event = a token Find a random chest = a token Kill a notorious mob (yellow bar) = a token. Why do the public events and special enemies drop 1 token, the same reward as finding a chest? Almost makes the extra effort to complete them pointless after the flashpoint milestone.

2 RepliesI support this message. It's not just the Chuck E. Cheese tokens that annoy me, but the lousy gear they get you. Why bother? You shouldn't. There's little reason to actually play this game.

1 ReplyTokens are just choosing when to rank up. The drop rates are the problem not the tokens. I like the token carry over, I don't like how many ranks it takes to get something. There isn't a lot of gear either. Lack of gear and bad drop rates aren't the tokens fault.

Tokens are a better system. I can't tell you how many times I forgot to go back to the tower to collect my rank up package, and rounded it again in d1. Where as, now I can just save tokens and not worry about it.

I only farm tokens to turn in with a chance of getting something masterworked so i can dismantle, I originally only had a hunter and had up to 400 cores, but after re creating Titan and Warlock i am down to only 173, they should change this system and let you select what masterwork perk you want instead of spending countless cores to get what u want

27 RepliesWhen I hit 385 I heard some vendors were dropping engrams at 380. So I took these worthless tokens and got a whole bunch of worthless 380 gear to infuse into my other worthless 380 or even my worthless 335 gear and made it a worthless 385. Now lets talk about my worthless 335 and 385 weapons. I got a vault full of worthless 385 weapons. Then I took those worthless 385 guns and started using them on my other characters. Yep, you guessed it. It brought them up a little bit. Not a lot but just enough that I started getting worthless higher drops on my other characters. Then I took those worthless tokens that I got and redeemed them on my other characters and got more worthless drops to infuse into other gear. Now I got a bunch of worthless 385 gear and weapons in my vault. Worthless tokens. I should of just dismantled them all.

Gamers are visual and when stupid things like this are added to this game It is not an incentive at all. They should have just stayed with the system ROI had and worked from there. Unless they have done something different there is no incentive running a few events in this game. There are so many things this company can be doing as far as rewarding gamers and giving them a purpose to run the repetitive events in this game but they just don't want to explore this game's potential. They want to keep it as minimal as possible and that makes for a boring game especially in PvE. Example, what could have been an idea was having the farm on one of the planets instead of having 1 vendor on each planet standing in weird places. It's like they said, ooh, this should fill in the empty planets. Hell no! give the plants some life... I can see riding into a little thing set up like the farm on the planets and there would be room for improvements to expand it with other vendors giving bounties, quest etc. Go back to how you could use legendary makes in ROI to purchase items and how engrams dropped in events. Using tokens throughout the entire game was a dumb idea. It's like D1 Y1 at the beginning running patrol collecting material. (Not fun at all) and a lot of wasted time for nothing.
