What about those who have been loyal fans since day one who cannot afford or have no interest in getting the demo or buying the fool game but instead want to see what everyone else thinks? This turns in to us looking at what is and what is not considered community. I think Bungie is just desperate at this point.

I mean, the community is people who own the game that's an easy one to answer. It may not be the answer that people like, but its the answer. I honestly don't think people are pissed because they won't see what the destiny community thinks. The forums have been nothing but hate and trolling not much feedback. If you want real feedback and new suggestions go to Reddit. Bungie is trying to make the forums a better place so that their community can actually talk here without hate and trolls ruining the discussion. People are pissed at Bungie and just want a new thing to get mad at. Bungie had deserved hate in the past but this is not one of those times.

I disagree. Considering the fact that this is bungie.net and not destiny2.net, the community is players who have supported and played titles Bungie has put out and not just it's current product. It's a common practice for developers of multiple titles to have multiple areas setup in their forums for discussing the games or just conversing. Bungie decided that not only do you need to play D2 in order to talk about D2 you also need to play D2 if you want to talk about things other than D2 even though they have forum areas in place for talking about non-D2 topics and other games. I understand they needed to do something about trolls but eliminating players who have been on here for 10 years or more just because they decided beforehand that D2 wasn't their cup of tea is a shitty move on their part.

Well it’s def an answer. I disagree completely with your statement about the community being those who own the game. For me, a community is based around ideas in relation to the company as a whole and the player base who follows Bungie whether or not they are talking about a Bungie game in particular or not or any other topic. Why limit the conversation to this game? I mean after all the things to talk about are limited as the game is limited in a number of ways that reflect their shortsightedness about what their following enjoys. Now I will agree with you about the forums been nothing as of late but hate and negativity. There are a number of salt filled opinions including my own to which I have no apologies for. I do not feel bad about, and do not regret any amount of sarcasm or condescending tone that I have used. In fact, I relish the fact that this game is failing. Time after time of bullshit to the degree at which Bungie has failed is beyond a one or two or even a 6th time thing. This copy and paste apology shit is not working on anyone anymore. I mean come on, it is so bad in regard to the sheer number of mistakes it almost as if they are doing it on purpose. So when ppl slam Bungie and do not offer “constructive criticism” it is because no matter what is said or who they reached out to, they feel as if they are being ignored. There is nothing more to say to get Bungie motivated and while it is a waste of time to post anything positive or negative it seems, there is an underlying satisfaction about it. For me personally, I enjoy bashing on them in their shortcomings as much as they enjoyed sneaking around trying to make a dishonest dollar.

I'm sorry that you're pissed at bungie and that you think that the only way to get results is to hate. I'm sorry that you only want this game to fail, I honestly don't understand why you think this will help but that's your opinion and I'll respect it. Unfortunaly they have been listening. Masterworks and mods 2.0, while we don't know what's happening with mods yet, prove that they were listening to feedback about gameplay and loot feeling shallow. Nightfall scoring and heroic strike changes prove that they are listening to our feedback about the nightfall timer not being fun and that strikes feel boring. The go fast update proves that they were listening to our feedback about the movement speed changes, super recharge timer, and power ammo in crucible. The recent in-depth roadmaps and blog posts prove that they were listening to us when we said there was no communication. Finnally the lack of a away to buy crimson engrams proves that bungie was listening to the fact that people don't trust them anymore and they they think bungie is just a bunch of greedy devs like EA. They are listening to our feedback but only constructive feedback: good and bad. Tell them when they -blam!- up and what you don't like and they will listen. Tell them when they do something right and what you liked and they will listen. If you're a cynic that only posts empty hate then, in my opinion, you don't belong in the community.

I never implied that the only way to get results is through hate. You should have read my post more carefully. I have posted both negative and positive post on here. I belong in this community just as much as anyone else. After all, I fit the newly added requirements. Either your typing is extremely fast or you had the information copied and ready to go. I was telling you how I feel personally but since you prefer rainbows and sunshine check out some of my other posts while you’re up there on your high horse of moral injustice. Your “opinion” of me not belonging in the community is just as negative as the aspects I openly admit to. I have post where I mention moving forward and giving them the benefit of the doubt.
