But this is just the point, it should have exceeded its predecessor in every way imaginable (remembering that most of what we saw in D1 was designed for last Gen consoles so when D2 was teased early on the community dared to dream of open worlds, 60fps, dedicated servers, the new current gen of console could surely make this happen??????? Then D2 dropped ........... at 1st people were like “well it has lots of cut scenes that we wanted”, “it has a sort of story that D1 lacked” then after a couple of days the whole shit blew wide open!!!!! This TRASH sorry excuse for a AAA title????? It lacks everything!!! It lacks imagination, evolution of skill trees, sub-classes, it’s so pigeon holed into playing 1 shitty way that is so linear and monotone that the game is in the bin with the rest of the garbage

That's a separate argument, though. True, it didn't live up to people's hopes. but that's a very different thing to the developer lying about what to expect. The limited skill trees are disappointing. The lack of 30fps and dedicated servers will sting for those who would benefit from them. But all of that was clearly signposted in the run up to release. I remember people complaining about these factors when they were announced. So they really shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone who bought the game at launch or who didn't cancel a preorder. This really isn't "refund territory". Although it certainly is "Decide carefully if you want to spend money an another Destiny/Bungie game Territory". Which does still give Activision/Bungie some longer term issues they're going to have to work through.
