I have something i want to add, and i'm not sure if it will simply be lost in the shuffle. Here is my 2 cents on Destiny 2 as a whole, starting with my late joining experience with destiny one. I got into destiny about a year and a half after it launched when my brother got me the game with the rise of iron dlc. From that day forward i learned about grinding for loot, raids with various teams, missions, stories, and crazy events, from sparrow racing to some pretty epic nightfalls. Hell i even miss that Prison of elders, archon's forge events, the weelky heroic stories, and so forth. Not to mention the cash pumped into random engram things for cosmetics, emotes, ghosts etc. (which i want to talk about at the end a bit) When destiny 2 launched, I was ecstatic. I quickly got into destiny 2 the way I wished i had in d1. I made my hunter, capped it, and did the same with a warlock and titan. I hit 400+ heroic public events, and just went hammer with the crew of random badass's i meet over the years. Yet, D2 has nowhere near the activities of its predecessor, and they even removed some deep systems, like gun perks and such, without really creating a system of equal depth somewhere else to replace it. So what we get is an awesome game, that for some reason has very little depth. One of the MOST disappointing things is when we learned we would lose everything we earned in D1, be it emotes, ships, sparrows, etc. This happened for no real reason and kinda spoils the ever-verse of D2. No matter what you earn or achieve, it WILL NOT carry forward. I really wish would have carried forward players cosmetics and such into D2. Hell even the exotics could have been tweaked to D2, and although there would be some controversial changes im sure, it would add to the depth of the experience. What i Wish Destiny 2 was is a continuation the the same game we fell in love with. Instead we were forced to start fresh, with no real reference to our achievements, efforts, or investments of D1. I really wish this game felt like a continuation of our story rather then a randomly crafted offshoot stripped of depth, yet adding nothing new or equivalent to make up for it. Whatever you do, remember that your players want this game to succeed, We want you to make money, But what we want from it is an acutal experience crafted for the players. A story they can truly feel part of. Thanks for your time
