The game was probably fun for some people who made a living streaming and running youtube channels, but the vast majority of players that are leaving are pve players. Destiny's attempt to make the game more "enjoyable to watch" with static weapons rolls for easy game balancing has limited the grind for pve players. Gone are the God rolls used in pve for the sake of pvp balancing again. The writing is on the wall. Many of the streamers and youtubers are already moving onto other games, hell just look at Skillup. If Bungie had just kept the core D1 framework and built upon it, they would not be in this mess. I have almost 5000 hours between D1 and D2. Trust me. I wanted D2 to be a success, but it's total rework for pvp and monetization has all but killed this franchise and to think Bungie still has 7 years to go. Bungie went the wrong route. I suppose they had planned a little bit of a fancy 'campaign' pvp world would hook people to the next big space shooter like Halo and that pvp would carry them on forever. Hence their reluctance to make this a true first person RPG shooter looter and opt for the title of a "shared world action shooter, with RPG elements' Sorry for the ramble. But the game is NOT fun anymore, It is still attractive though. lol
