I’m not surprised if that’s their strategy. Think about it. D2 launch, everyone gets excited thinking it will improve on what we left off with j. D1, so initial boost in sales. Then fans found out it has several steps back. People hang around to give it time to get back. In the meantime, make a couple of quick bucks in microtransactions. Then player base lose faith. But when it comes to year 2 D2, they overhauled the game to bring everything in D1 back. Everyone rejoice. But it’s actually even footing with D1 y3. And then they make incremental improvements on top of that. Wah lah! Something for the devs to do in y3. Tbh, I don’t care much about the rewards. I just want a stable server like other AAA games have.

 • TBH, with the news of a late cycle reboot (apparently), it makes sense with what was released. I honestly believe what we got wasn't intended... Exactly... It was a shitty byproduct of a giant clusterfuck. I'm not absolving Bungie, just offering another possibility.
