It doesn't matter what his motives were for making the video, the problem is that it rings true to so many of us, and that's the fault of Bungie. If D1 wasnt my favorite game of all time, I would have played D2 for the month that I played it, realized how bad it was, and moved on without ever looking back (kind of like what I did with For Honor and The Division). But because I know the potential that D2 has, I am here trying to make the developers realize how much they have -blam!-ed us. And If I was the only one on these forums saying that, I probably would have given up by now. But it's clear there are a lot of other people who feel the same way.
You all pretend to be fans. You're not fans. Fans don't wish for companies and games to fail.
There's a big difference between being a fan and a blind asshole licking lackey. When Bungie squatted over me and tried to shit down my throat with this game I didn't just sit there and ask for more. And you're kidding yourself is you think Bungievision did anything more than try to force feed us shit and make us pay for it.

You left out the part where Bungie have acknowledged D2 isn't what it should be or needs to be dozens of times. Yet this shit never ends to the point where this Eververse shit has destroyed these forums with all the spam that they responded to 2 days in.

  • Can you please quote Bungie saying that the game isn’t what they want it to be? Because last time I checked their twitter’s say otherwise. They think the game is great

  •
Can you please quote Bungie saying that the game isn’t what they want it to be? Because last time I checked their twitter’s say otherwise. They think the game is great
They have on multiple occasions. There was a podcast that I believe Chris Barrett did where they said they didn't realize until after they were nearly finished with D2 that they left out content for "hobbyists." They said they focused too much on "tourists." There was also the State of D2 address, the one that caused the cancellation of the 3rd CoO stream. Their biggest enemy here isn't time, or the players, the amount of content they can create, it's themselves. They still fancy themselves as a PvP-centric studio. They don't understand that their Destiny player base is derived from PvE. Because of this, they don't understand why the sandboxes need to be separate, and that we really don't care about taking a random PvE gun into Crucible. They don't understand what matters to PvE players, and they don't seem willing to try.

If Bungie has acknowledged that D2 isn't good, why are they still charging us for content?!??!?! Why do we need to buy multiple DLCs to finally get to the point where the game is where it should be? If they truly believed that the game had issues and that they had done their players wrong, they should have suspended the DLC release and worked to fix the game before asking for more money. Instead, they plan to keep drip feeding us fixes and making us pay for those fixes as we go. What a -blam!-ing joke. FIX THE BASE GAME! Then apologize by giving us free DLC so we can experience content the way we should have experienced in the first place, not with major issues which Bungie has admitted to. It's almost WORSE that they admitted to there being so many problems because any respectable business would work to fix those problems BEFORE asking for more money. And most businesses would refund or partially refund the customers that they wronged to begin with. EDIT: So what you're saying is that Bungie admitted to trying to shit down our throats, but because they've acknowledged that that probably wasn't a good idea they get an excuse? Do you have battered wife syndrome? Uh, yeah, Bungie apologized and promised not to do it again so it's ok that they shit on us.

  • They charge us because they worked on this game. They spent countless hours creating this game for immature people like you to play. That's why they charge us.

  • lmao, their not making any money off of me. I haven't played since October and I haven't spent a dime on the Eververse or DLC. Man, you must have no idea what it's like to be in business. If I'm a chef/owner of a restaurant and I give my customers terrible food, food that I even agree is terrible, it doesn't matter how much time I spent making that food to begin with. If I want to keep that customer I should be comping his meal and providing the food that he and I both expected from the get go. Not just apologizing and saying, hey, come back tomorrow, maybe the food will be good next time.

They already made money off of you when you bought the game. BTW you cannot compared video games and food. That doesn't work well.

  • Do you think Bungie is satisfied with making money off of customers only once? Clearly not, that's why there's DLC and Eververse. Yes, you absolutely can compare any consumer item to any other consumer item. The point is that all businesses thrive off of returning customers and if you -blam!- up, your customers are not going to return. Therefore, you have to make amends one way or another.

  • You haven't played since October. Maybe you should be asking yourself what's wrong with you that you're still here posting like a psychopath months later.

  • The gun play was amazing, there was a seemingly endless number of things to do. When I completed things and got better gear I actually felt more powerful. Most of the exotics gave very unique play experiences that were literally game changing (Twilight Garrison was almost like adding another class to have fun with in crucible). The uniqueness of the exotics meant I could do the same activities and play crucible with many different play styles and made it feel different. I had FUN in the crucible. I even enjoyed grinding for materials in vanilla D1, although I know enough people didn't like that so it won't come back. I mean, every Tuesday for three years except for the down time between DLCs were spent raiding with my friends, and there were always 20+ people on my friends list on ready to raid. Literally none of this is available in D2.

I tried, I really hate the gunplay in Borderlands, makes it unplayable for me. Plus they don't have the FUN pvp that I mentioned.

  • It was fun for a lot of people. How many D1 pvp montages did you see on a daily basis popping up on the forums? I have hardly seen anyone do that for D2, because no one cares to see a team of four out team shoot another team of 4... yawn. D1 pvp was extremely fun. Run around and kill things. Maybe win some 1v2s or 1v3s. Maybe get killed three times in a row by supers but then go get a triple kill with your super. Snipe a guy in the face to shut down his hammers. Was it "competitive"? Of course not. But I don't see any pro e-sports team picking up D2...

  • I'd argue that it had a significantly higher install base and was a brand new ip. By sheer numbers it would take the win. Other than that I don't remember any positive words on the pvp as far as reviews were concerned
