You know what'd happen if I cant do my job correctly? My pilot could die, my friends could die and I could as well. So to fix that, they'd fire me for not being able to do my job. In bungo's case, "lets just have eververse get us money because its too hard to make content".
Edit: lol at the people thinking it was a direct quote. Its called reading between the lines. It was said however during the taken king, but the fact destiny 2 is in this state shows they're proving this hasnt changed. My title quote came from reading between the lines. Quotes are also used to signify things in a sarcastic manner. I cannot wait for bungie to sue this journalist for slandering their production as you people state is not true even though the product they release clearly shows that they cannot keep up.

My proposal: Please be respectful and hear me out. A REAL solution to the Eververse dilema. A win, win for players AND Bungie. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/241711075 Middle ground and understanding can be established, it just takes some goodwill and gestures of trust to get back on track here. My 2 cents.

59 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 1/4/2018 10:47:19 PMThey admitted that they can't handle this game, and if they can't handle this game it's time to hand the rights over.

1 ReplyNo, IT WAS SAID DURING A RECENT PODCAST which apparently no one listened too. The entire podcast was the three amigos crying about how challenging it is to reach a decision about even the smallest thing and how difficult it is to add anything to the game. After listening to that podcast i can fully understand what the issue with the company are.

1 ReplyEdited by A Broken Record: 1/4/2018 10:51:08 PMDestiny 2 has plenty of end game what are you talking about. I can't even stop playing it. The forums is the best idea bungie has ever come up with. This is what i call end game. Besides you make some valid points, and i agree that EverVerse needs to be removed.

4 RepliesEdited by JHarv: 1/4/2018 4:49:31 PMI love how this has become a common issue. Sorry, we couldn't find your order that was put on hold because the staff is new, untrained, and mistakenly put it in the wrong place. Sorry, we can't develop the best game possible because it's too hard. Sorry, you didn't get the best assignment grade because I had 400 other people to mark and it was too rushed. Sorry, I didn't get your passport papers sent out in time because it's too busy and we have staff off. Sorry, I couldn't properly seal the new windows we replaced in your house because I didn't have the right tools. Sorry.... WELL IT'S NOT THE CUSTOMERS FAULT EITHER, SO WHY IS IT COSTING THE CUSTOMER?! NOT DOING YOUR JOB SHOULD NEVER COME AT MY EXPENSE!

They're programmers and they can't program a more efficient toolset? They should have created a new engine for Destiny 2 if was that hard to work with.

3 RepliesToo hard to make content, but ever so easy to fatten up Tess's inventory. Funny that...

14 RepliesWhat a cop-out. We need to be real and put this in perspective. Bungie is one of Activision's $1Billion dollar franchises. There is no shortage of money. None. Three studios worked on D2. Bungie, High Moon, & Vicarious Visions. Activision CEO publicly stated that having these other studios assist in creating D2 was to provide a better product and also provide a product which gave the customer more content. The decision was made to Develop D2 as a cash grab. Player enjoyment and replay ability were not the focal points of development. These 3 studios created what is D2 based off of the vision to maximize profit by creating the least amount of content. They were successful. D2 sales at launch were 50% higher across all platforms when compared to the D1 figures. The coding, etc that you all mention is merely an excuse. The fact that personnel changes occurred 16 months prior to the release of D2 is an excuse. The bottom line here is the vision implemented in the developement. D2 won't change, can't change because it wasn't developed to play anywhere the same as D1. Small superficial change will occur over time but the core components of this game that many(myself included) have issue with cannot be changed. As someone posted a few days back, Now is the time for the blueprint for D3 to be established. If Bungie would publicly say what that blueprint will be based around there might be some hope for D3. For D2 there is none. This is the game created. It may get marginally more fun to play but will nowhere come close to bringing the same enjoyment that D1 did both in PVE and PVP. Rant over.

And all the fanboys still keep lapping up the slop that Bungie gives them and asks for more.

8 Replies"Too hard to make content" - Bungie I bet it wasn't hard to put those items inside Eververse though lol. Okay all fun and jokes aside, Bungie really is at its downfall even If they themselves made the Halo series. My question to the top executives like Pete Parsons is, why. Why cut ties with Microsoft If you guys aren't capable of making games on your own? Why embark on a 10 year plan with a franchise that is too difficult for you to create decent content for? Why? Its all becoming crystal clear now. The issue wasn't Activision.(Even though they are not innocent) The issue is Bungie, and the reason why they failed to deliver for D2. Its no wonder the story and lore for Destiny is so lackluster. The reason why we won't get another enemy faction besides Fallen, Hive, Vex and Cabal. You guys are lazy and burnt out and are now focusing on microtransactions to maximize profits for Activision and sustain yourselves while paying everybody at the studio. In other words you can make a great game. Its just that its too much sweat and hard work to do so and decided to take the easy route and abuse the fanbase everytime they have a little bit of hope for you guys. Everyone on the forums should come to their senses and realise that Eververse isn't going anywhere. Its what you guys are going for and it will maximize your profits even further with that business model. Destiny was tge reason why this community came together and played every week for hours and now Destiny is the reason this community is falling apart. Even when the franchise is finish, you guys will be known for your shady practices and downfall of a high potential game.

12 RepliesEdited by JHarv: 1/4/2018 6:55:00 PMIt's definitely criminal to take the easiest path to money, without putting in the work. That's exactly how a criminal rationalizes burglary and theft. Easy money at your expense. I don't care if the "hours of work" are there when the product isn't. A student doesn't get credit for a crappy project submission that took hundreds of hours just because you worked many hard and long hours. Its a product driven industry, not a service industry. I'm not paying Bungie for their time delivering me a service. I'm paying for a product. If you spend years developing garbage, it's criminal to lure people into paying for it with predatory tactics and marketing. Would you accept an engineer cutting corners on building your home to save them time and money because of their own incompetence and failure to meet a deadline? No. The house has to be built to a standard. Entertainment is no different. It's a product you're charging people for. This garbage needs a regulatory body to quality check content and systems so that loot box gambling games with 5/10 content and 10/10 marketing hype don't become the standard.

this is the most disheartening thing so far. with all that's going on in destiny at the moment, i feel ashamed to have liked destiny so much. the lying, cheating and if this is to be believed, that bungie them self find it's too hard to produce content for their own product, with the tools they make them self, is simply unacceptable. on top of that they are taking the easy way out and concentrate on eververse to make them the money they think they deserve. "just put some shiny crap into the store! those stupid people will eat that shit up and make us rich". how can you come back here with your fake smiles and proud words, talking about a new rewarding season and oh those fantastic plans for the year ahead, without choking on your own words? i think i have to shower for a week to get that stench off. i am absolutely disgusted, shame on you, bungie.

1 ReplyWork hard to make Destiny 2 a halfway decent game, or hold indoor scooter and rc drone races in the office for most of the day. That’s an easy decision with lazy workers. And Bungie has always been lazy. Looks like I was right from day one. They completely mailed it in with D2. Let’s all be honest with ourselves here. D2 is never going to be much of a game for anyone except casuals that didn’t even play D1. Notice that there’s only a super minute few in that category on this board, but they can easily be spotted with embarrassing claims of how much “fun” they’re having. Destiny 2 is destined for relatively short lifespan at this point and there is absolutely nothing that can be done about it as long as Bungie is willing to let it die like they are right now. I’ve said it before, I’m pretty sure that Bungie is already throwing in the towel on D2. They did an absolute terrible job of purposefully being deceitful with their fans and got caught with their pants down as a result. They’re no doubt already looking forward to the next money grab game and better ways to disguise the greed to avoid the massive public relations disaster they created with D2 debauchery. I would truly balk before I told someone I worked at Bungie-Vision. That shit is straight up embarrassing. Better of passing yourself off as a tow truck driver.

1 ReplyThey're also to lazy to even post news. It's going to be 4 weeks with no talk what so ever about Tesstiny 2 everpurse

9 RepliesI can't tell if the anti bungie posts are meant to troll or if they're serious. If they're serious, then it's even more hilarious. It's a game, people are acting like it's life or death , get a grip. Very few games are perfect when 1st released. If most on this forum thinks it so easy, then band together, form a company and see if you can do better.😂

1 ReplyMust be too hard to make announcements as well

Lol lost sols and handsome dragon literally live for this, any chance to white knight bungie they are always the first to do it. It’s remarkable

#Bungie is such a wh**e. #Activision is cancer. But the worst? #Bungie a-hole licking apologetic guardians.

436 RepliesIt's funny that dude makes these videos because he knows all you little sheep will eat whatever he's selling. He knows that all he has to do is talk shit about Bungie and Destiny and you'll make the checks come in from the views, but he doesn't stop there. He asks you all to give to his Patreon so he can continue to make a living off of you doing nothing but talking shit. Do you honestly think he wants Destiny to be better? -blam!- no. If you all were happy, you wouldn't be clicking his shit. Guessing none of you are bright enough to realize the person he quoted statement starts with "I think" and that he completely misrepresents the content remarks. Making content IS HARD. That's why you don't give it away for free. You all expect Destiny to constantly be updated with new gear, new weapons, new story, new missions, new raids and you think what? You should get all that forever for $60??? It's a joke. Yeah, RNG in Eververse sucks. Yeah Bungie moved too much to Eververse, but god damn. It's all available through playing and everything gets sold for Bright Dust that the game pretty much showers on us. I always have 3-5k Bright Dust just from the shit I dismantle in the level up Engrams and I buy emotes all the time as well as other things at times. Don't have to spend a dime. It's amazing that if all the games that have ever existed... And go scroll through the Xbox or PSN stores right now and tell me out of all the countless games listed, you'd say ''that was a truly great game' or that you'd even contemplate buying... But somehow Destiny owes gamers something and it's personal. The problem is that Bungie have been so supportive of the community- streamers, YouTubers, artists and even everyday players with giving us these forums to commune with other fans on and so people feel invested. That's not a bad thing. But when that feeling invested becomes, we own this game and get to dictate and -blam!- the devs who suck, then you have to wonder if any developer should embrace their community like Bungie did. This movement. This post. These hundreds of spam threads are an embarrassment. The fact that anyone thinks this is acceptable and how people should act and treat anyone else is -blam!-ed. You all pretend to be fans. You're not fans. Fans don't wish for companies and games to fail. Fans don't rip the developers daily because
Joe Asshole on the internet told me I should be mad
You're being taken advantage of and used to make someone rich, but it's not by Bungie. Congratulations.

185 RepliesYong Yea is a muckraker who's agenda is bashing video game developers. Making a video game is a creative process. It isn't like manufacturing a car or a refrigerator. There will often be stops, starts, and changes in direction in the creative process, as ideas hit real world limits, and implementation problems.

2 RepliesEdited by FaZe_GarthBrooks: 1/5/2018 8:14:02 PMAnyone ever think that "it's too hard to make content" because of activision. I mean ya, it was their move to switch to Activision as publisher for the Destiny franchise. That has led them to not once, just with the first game, but twice with the second game as well, where Activision has made them trash their entire work on a game a solid year and a half before projected release. This is Activisions fault, and I wholeheartedly believe, while Bungie is by no means hurting financially from any of this, they CANNOT make the game they want to, due to Activision throwing their entire work away and making them start from scratch. In this case, I don't blame them for saying it's "too hard to make content" when your corporate overlords and throwing away your hard 4 years of work and forcing you to take large chunks of the game and recreate them from scratch over the next year and a half. Bungie moved to Activision for "more creative freedom", but so far, that couldn't be further from the truth, and I completely blame Activision for everything wrong that has gone on with Destiny 1 and 2.

1 ReplyFor "Too hard to make content" read "it's not profitable enough to make content".

#2Hard everyone!

This was never a quote by anyone at their studio. It was a soundbyte from a YouTuber trying to promote himself. This is fake news.

30 RepliesApparently Bungie don't have the right "tools" to provide players with regular content. And you know how the saying goes.... "A poor workman blames his tools"

Why even make games when making content is to hard?
