Why are there so many people who hate his channel? He shows the article, then shares his views. A lot of people seem to agree with him on leaving Destiny 2, because compared to where D1 was at this time in its life span D2 is dying fast. Mainly he, I and many others are just fed up with micro-transaction in full priced games WITH paid DLC. It boggles my mind why people are completely ok with it.

It's because Yong Yea fake news. He doesn't even check the source of this info, Jason Schreier at Kotaku Jason Schreiers is an extremely shady journalist. He once said that he'd pay $400 to anyone who can publicly humiliate someone (name was redacted in screenshot) Compared asking for better ethics in journalism to the ebola virus He says that journalistic objectivity is a silly thing to strive for He attempted to scandalmonger a developer by saying a drunk journalist hit on him He's a provocateur, not a journalist, always looking to make an easy buck while smearing people's images Plus the bungie developers' comments were taken out of context. They were talking about the taken king, not D2.
-
Yet this "provocateur" has broken 3 huge game development stories and two of them are about Destiny.
-
Broken them? You mean repeated what he saw on Reddit? Nothing is special about Yong Yea, besides his super in depth analysis of anything to do with Hideo Kojima
-
Where do you think Reddit got it? From the journalist that was quoted in the Reddit post. I can't believe that has to be explained to you
-
As I have said to about 4 people now, just like LITERALLY EVERYONE ever to live EVER, he makes mistakes and isn't perfect. Besides, it isn't even hard to believe that Bungie would do this. Bungie for the entirety of D1 kept locking old content behind a DLC pay wall. Bungie constantly kept messing up PvP balance. Bungie has never fully fixed Destiny 1 and it took them 3 years to make it better. Mind you Hello Games a much smaller dev team has been trying to make NMS better and as far as I know free. It also hasn't been 3 freaking years. One last thing, do you actually watch Yong's videos? All the Battlefront 2 stuff was legit, because I would read the articles first.
-
His battlefront 2 videos were bullshit. You say you've read the original articles. But did you forget the parts where the redditters admitted to omitting the various ways credits were earned in their "calculations" Never found it odd that YongYea forget to mention that?

You're seriously using no mans sky as an argument? That game was worth it maybe for the first hour, but none of it after that was worth my money
-
You're seriously using no mans sky as an argument? That game was worth it maybe for the first hour, but none of it after that was worth my money
-
Yes, because a much smaller team has as far as I know been releasing free updates to a game to make it better(not to mention what in a year or 2 posed to 3?), where as Bungie took 3 years and used over priced DLC.
-
They're not doing "free" updates. They are FINISHING the game as everything they have added and have plans on adding were said to already be in the game before it even released...
-
Because they're a smaller team and company and already made bank from everyone buying no mans sky out of pure hype. What exactly is there to monetize in no mans sky at this point? Nobody would buy any micro transactions from them because nobody plays no mans sky anymore
-
They might be mistakes, but the intent behind them was real. That's like saying people can't go to jail for doxing (which schreier did), which people most definitely do go to jail for. Don't expect me to forgive someone just because they're human, there's a trust factor to this, and schreier has none of mine for his shady business
-
You actually like D2? Obviously mediocrity is your good standard then. Pathetic.
-
I'm talking about Yong here....
-
Same thing goes for him. You should never pay attention to anyone who is obviously trying to make good off of whatever story is out there, especially when they are as explicitly biased like Yong
