I managed to get 2 exotics in 4 hours with a coin active. The first drop was 5 minutes into my gameplay and the second was the last 5 minutes of my 4 hour window. Previous to using the coin I'd get an exotic maybe once every 5 or 6 hours......I don't think these coins really work.
