Analysis of 3 of Coins. Don't waste your time.
7 hours of non-stop play on 2 Three of Coins
Played solo and with party.
Switched to all 3 characters.
Completed:
Heroic Strikes
Strikes
Nightfalls
Public Events
Total Exotics: 0

Edit: We tested 3 more 3oC with Fireteam Medallions active. No exotics dropped at all out of way more than 150 chests (we stopped counting). We then tested just Fireteam medallions and we all got exotics within 30 minutes of PEs. It appears that the 3oC also kills exotic chances when paired with Fireteam Medallions. Just a heads up.

I grinded pubs for 3.5 hours last night for the forge pulse rifle. Had a 3 of coins active and a fireteam medallion and had 3 exotics drop, which is a much higher frequency than usual, so for me 3OC seems to be working.

Yea it's says directly in the thing. Have a higher chance to find an exotic out in the world. It has zero connection to public events,strikes,PvP,nightfall, or raid. So basically farm your chests that will eventually lock you out from getting anything out of the chest on any given planet.

2 RepliesBungie: Hey guys we have heard the feed back about three of coins. It seems these are not working as we had hoped. To compensate for this we are increasing token drops in the raid lair. We will also add a small nerf to fusion rifles. We hear you loud and clear.

Literally got 3 exotics so far from 3o coins so they work

I had a total of 10 exotics drop for me in a few hours of play. Worked well on public events. Still got a bunch of duplicates though.

I had the exact same outcome after 7 hours with 3oC and fireteam medallion. Definately broke. I also stopped receiving radiolarian cultures completely...not sure if anyone else had this issue.

Use them while on patrol according to the reddit research. Key phrase is "world activities".

Dont know if they give you the exotic or if it was luck. It was also my first strike i got the exotic.

Second this, after testing a number out across various events i havent had a single exotic. Fail.

Same issue today.. Not only this but noticed drops from public events have been severely rolled back.. Heroic events dropping 1 token only. Crap

5 RepliesSame boat here. I played the four hours doing strikes for forging materials. Not one exotic drop. Timer runs out. Around hour later I get an exotic drop... And it was a duplicate. So ya, 3oC might be a placebo. I’ve seen no drop increases at all. Also, I think bright engram XP has been throttled again... Those 4 plus hours of strikes and public missions didn’t flip it once. 🤔

Still RNG. I've had a ToC running through Flashpoint, heroics, call to arms, etc, zippo. It can turn right around though.
