Complaining about stuff that is 100% pure cosmetic................................
Your not to bright just like the rest of the complainers.

You're* Too* Idiom.
-
Indeed because cosmetics are not being used to beta test over a long period of time the concept of our willingness to eventually submit to a pay to win model (HELLO battlefront!)...yeah ok buddy keep thinking that. Take that disk out of your mouth please. Hit eject!
-
They completely lied to the community to try to incentivize people to purchase loot boxes. What makes it even worse is that the destiny community is exceptionally vulnerable to these practices due to the nature of the game. But hey if you're okay getting lied to and taken advantage of good for you.
-
Not caring about being deceived by a company you purchased from. Regardless of it was for cosmetic items why defend shady practice like that.
-
It doesn't effect me so why would I complain? I get 9-10 bright engrams each week, have bought many emotes with bright dust,200 fireteam medallions, and still have 5000 bright dust and have not bought any silver(to buy bright engrams). Point being is if you play you will get more then you think with zero need to buy anything.
-
But what about all those bright Ingrams you were ripped off for? By their own admission no less. You were cool with that? You were robbed man! and they used that robbery as a mechanism to encourage people to buy engrams. Even if you didn't buy any yourself; how many unsuspecting guardians were cheated by this?
-
I wasn't robbed of anything and if you were stupid enough to but silver for them well................
-
Edited by TommyG: 11/28/2017 9:59:47 AMYou weren't, but others were. Just because people choose to spend money on cosmetics items, and you personally think it stupid, doesn't automatically mean those people are to blame for anything that happens and bungie get off for free. If someone buys Silver, and uses that silver to gain bright dust, which they use to buy Fireteam medallions...then we have a problem. Because, if you like it or not, people have bought something that bungie has said will give you double XP. But it didn't.... It was a totally -blam!-ing misleading sale. Again, just because it doesn't affect you, doesn't mean it's not an issue. Like every other idiot who tries to defend this with pointless rebuttals, there's no need. You don't have to defend bungie. It's pointless.
-
the fireteam medallions do give more XP when using them. That was never a issue.
-
But not double, and still throttled with the rest of the xp, whilst telling you otherwise. It was proper bait and switch tactics. I get it's not your issue..some people prefer to just ignore and that's fine. But don't try and come across as if it isn't a legitimate issue. The more people allow companies to get away with such things, the worse it will get.
-
Nowhere does the fireteam medallion state "double XP",just "increased XP". It's not a legitimate issue, not even close.
-
Edited by TommyG: 11/28/2017 2:13:29 PMFair point, I misinterpreted the Fireteam medallions, but the extra XP you're gaining from them was still being throttled. Lying about the amount of XP gained when it's the only part of your game that's monetized isn't a legitimate issue? -blam!- off
-
They never lied about how much fireteam medallions give.
-
They never mentioned how much Fireteam Medalions gave. But if they are working as a percentage, then every time the game throttled your XP down without telling you, the XP you earned from medallions would be less and less. You have a point though, bungies vague wording on the Medalion would provably cover them from anything illegal, but it still doesn't make it right. They've been caught out twice in a matter of days. They implemented a system that flat out lied about how much XP you are gaining if you grind activities, then when we found out, they told their customers it had been removed, but forgot to tell everyone that you now had to earn double the XP previously to gain the only monetized item in their game. Leading to them backtracking again on twitter. The whole thing is -blam!-ing shady.
-
Just because it doesn't affect you, doesn't mean the issue just doesn't exist. -blam!- me.
-
If you don't let it effect you there will be nothing to complain about and be a non-issue. Just play the damn game and you will get plenty of bright engrams. Not like you need any of the items anyways to play.
