This. So much THIS. And Kudos to EADice for responding so quickly, not waiting months to acknowledge that fans are unhappy. Bungie could take a lesson from this. Faster and more open communication please.

    Lol, you really think EA is listening to their fans and trying to improve their practices? Everything they do is a calculated business decision, nothing more, nothing less. The outcry reached a point where they decided it would be more profitable to cough up an 'apology' and do the bare minimum required to smooth over everyone's ruffled feathers. It's obvious from the fact that initially they just tried reducing the cost of heroes in the hope that would be enough. When it wasn't only then did they address the root cause, and even that is only 'temporary', Make no mistake, as soon as they've lined their pockets with pre-order money and super-mega-deluxe edition sales, they'll bring the microtransactions. Destiny/Bungie have their problems (largely due to the malign influence of Cancervision) but they're nowhere near Battlefornt/EA levels of exploitation and soulless corporate greed.
