I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. Can we please have some voice lines back? It's really unnerving as a guardian who has been with you since Beta in Destiny 1, where my guardian called Dinklebot 'Little light'... to suddenly be mute.
I can understand the thought process behind wanting to make us feel like it's US playing a guardian that is genuinely ours and not superimposing a voice onto our guardian for us. Truly I do. But I still considered that 'shy to talk but quick to shoot' guardian from Year 1 mine... or me, even.
This probably won't trend or even get a reply, but please consider giving us some voice lines back through cinematic scenes. It was very unnerving to watch my guardian silently reach out for Ghost as he fell off Ghaul's ship, and it was frustrating that our Ghost became our voice.
Are we not supposed to be legend? I thought we were. You hear legends of Dredgen Yor, of Saint-14, of Osiris, Kabr, Pahanin... not their ghosts. In Destiny 2, as much as I love our Nolan Bot and the emotional ties that have been pulled since he was made our ghost...I miss OUR voicelines. I feel it detracts from the personal legend of our guardian to not only CEASE having a voice, but to have our GHOST do ALL the talking for us. It doesn't matter how many times I played through on Destiny 1. I was always excited to hear those moments where my 'too shy to talk normally, but still more than ready to murder time traveling robots' guardian actually spoke. So please, Bungie, consider giving us back our voice.

They're not doing it because it's immensely cheaper for them to just use Nolan North for all our dialogue. Imagine, they'd have to hire at least 2 more voice actors just to cover the male/female races. I would have said at least 6, but they can probably do 2 and just digitally alter the voices depending on race. It's purely to save money.
