Bungie, you REALLY need to start the communication train about your plans for this game!

It's getting out of hand Bungie, everyone I play with thinks you've either given up on this game or you're just straight up incapable of developing it properly. From content not even worth completing more than once to re-skins to handfuls of features that were in D1 just straight up missing from this apparant sequel, from shallow subclass trees to having zero purpose to actually getting loot, other than for infusing into the weapon or armour piece you already have, to nothing new added or innovated on. My 10th better devils was exactly the same as my 1st (I thought you were doing something about that? I mean that IS what you said in an interview 3 months before the game actually released) From awful, straight up garbage match making in PVP, to the lack of choices a player has when playing Crucible. The STILL bad connection issues (yes I have great wired internet) and being shot through walls or shots not registering at all, to hit registration being as dumb as Forest Gump. WHAT ARE YOU DOING BUNGIE? WHERE ARE YOU? And what are you doing about the game that SO many people love the universe of? It's time to speak up! EDIT: Anyone notice how Cozmo doesn't comment on threads like this, but replies to Mass shader dismantling or how many Cabal drop pod deaths you've had threads? EDIT: So I just woke up and read the weekly update, I think it’s safe to say I’m not logging into Destiny anymore. I can’t justify spending my time on something that’s just not rewarding anymore. I hope many of you follow suit. What’s that phrase? ‘Don’t hate the player..........’ EDIT: There's an interview released today from the BBC from a tour at the Bungie studios, here's a quote from it. "Absolutely we took criticisms of the original Destiny to heart," Jason Jones, co-founder of Bungie, tells Newsbeat. "We knew it had amazing parts... but we also saw the real mistakes we made." In a rare interview inside their Seattle offices, in the USA, he says the experience shaped how they tackled Destiny 2. "It was stuff we already knew but it was a sharp and clear message from our community - they expected better." And here's the full article if anyone wants to read it http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/41667810/behind-the-scenes-at-bungie-making-destiny-2-and-beyond EDIT: So grinding for Bright ENDgames, I mean Engrams is the new end game??? I’m a little lost for words, with increased XP boost on our 1st 3 bright Engrams is anyone actually gonna play the same old content after that? Finding it hard to see the future o Destiny as a positive thing honestly!

So much of this could have been avoided by keeping random perk rolls. People would have a reason to run strikes over and over again trying to get the perfect roll on a gun. There'd be a larger gun variety then the current MIDA/Uriel meta. The token system wouldn't be considered anywhere near as bad. Yeah, it's disappointing when you finally farm so hard for a gun and the roll is bad. But, much like any other loot game, part of the appeal is unwrapping the present. Will it be a good gun or a terrible gun? It creates a sense of excitement and reason to continue playing. Static rolls mean you get the gun once and you're done. It means one or two guns will dominate. You end up getting a lot of repeats which isn't nearly as satisfying. Without a much larger loot pool, you start to see patterns (like four IB helmets in a row, but no gauntlets or chest). Then they got rid off any kind of customization and unique builds. Everything feels the same now due to the long cooldowns and crappy perk packages. There are no unique builds that combine exotics with a certain perk loadout and proper stat distribution to maxmize it (like an Armamentatium grenade spam build or a Monte Carlo/Skullfort melee build). It's been reduced to pure shooter basically. Like Sci-fi CoD. Games like Diabolo 2 and 3 and the Borderlands series have held on for so long because they know that people will continue to farm for the perfect gear long after they've completed everything. They will continue to grind for unique and powerful weapons. They will continue to experiment with different builds that are fun and interesting, and try out weapons that compliment those builds. And those games, even in their vanilla aspects, had a ton more loot that could drop. But Bungie had to scrap all that for their PvP esport. Had to destroy the real grind, customization, unique items and builds... Had to weaken exotics to pointlessness, had to increase cooldowns to force more point and shoot gunplay, and destroy any incentive to even continue playing the game in the name of balancing PvP at the cost of PvE fun. Bungie doesn't seem to realize that their PvE game was just as important, if not more so, than PvP. Its just mind boggling that they would even believe any of this was a good idea. Probably pressure from Activision, but still. Right now, I'm just waiting for Borderlands 3. As a matter of fact, I think after I do my Warlock's flashpoint and clan milestone, I'm going to load up B2 and finish that Gage run through I never finished.
