Mouse problems

Hi! I can't post any video or picture of it but if I try to turn around my cursor go to the edge of the screen and I can't turn more, because of this I can't aim in the game and I can't see where I going after a corner! What can I do? I have a gtx 1050Ti.

  • Made an account to post this. Have a SteelSeries Rival 300, mouse lag makes game unplayable. Move the mouse and have to wait 3 seconds for it to register even though everything else on screen is buttery smooth. None of the above suggestions have fixed the problem. This is honestly a shame because I was interested in checking this game out to see if I was interested in purchasing it. Now I guess I'll never know since I'm not spending $60 on a maybe. Congrats on the lost sale.

    • Solution that worked for me: 1.Go to D2's .exe application 2.Right Click and go to properties 3.Compatibility tab 4.Disable display scaling on high DPI settings 5.Launch from battle.net Hope it works, if not, feels bad

      • I a i had to do several things to fix my lag issues. 1) Play in windowed full screen. regular full screen seems to be broken 2) Change display resolution to 100% 3) Go to destiny 2.exe >> properties >> Compatibility >> Override high DPI scaling behavior

Funny, two days ago, in closed beta I had no issues at all. Started today again, patch and boom - mouse issue. GTX 1070, G502, DualScreen with 150% scale. Non of the mentioned solutions: changing scale, DPI compatibility setting, windowed or not, resolution of game etc. worked for me. Nice time limited beta time ;)

Hello all, Thank you for your reports! As a troubleshooting step, you may want to try setting your DPI scaling to 100% if it's set to larger than that.

Same issue and my scaling is already set to 100 and I disabled precision pointer. The lag makes the game unplayable. I can use a XB1 controller, but I would prefer to us KB. If this isn't fixed, I won't be getting the game. Shame too, cos I never played D1 and was really excited for the PC release. If they can fix it and extend the beta a day or 2, then great cos the little I played with a gamepad was really fun! i7-5820k OC'd to 4.3 64GB RAM ASUS STRIX 1080 Game installed on 7200RPM 4TB HDD. • I also had this problem when my desktop scaling was set to 125%. You need to set your desktop to 100% and the problem should go away. https://zapodaj.net/431dd7a4ea6e7.jpg.html

            • Hey! I don't know if this will work for all people, but I had the same issue and it worked perfectly for me. You want to open the file location of destiny 2 launcher, then right-click on Destiny 2, then go to properties > Compatibility, and then enable override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by: Application -- Hopefully this works for you guys!

                • Same issue here, I have looked at all options brought up by everyone in multiple different mouse issue topics, the same response from Bungie on the DPI but that is not a solution. I have played with the compatibility options but again no solution, can we get a real response from Bungie even if it just explains that they are looking into this please it seems to be based around gaming mice that have multiple different setting options.

                  • Same issue here, cannot play the game after 6 hours downloading (sorry for my low Internet speed) <1 year Asus Laptop with 960M, normal mouse (not a game mouse), newest driver under Fullscreen mode, cannot change resolution (locked on 1280*720) and when mouse was moved to edge of screen, I cannot move my vision any more. I tried use fix/repair function of Blizzard platform, update my driver, followed the instruction mentioned here about high DPI things, nothing really helped and the issue was still there. Never met this problem in any of my other games and I am afraid I can hardly play Destiny 2 during the beta test. I have to say it is an extremely bad experience. I wish it can be solved ASAP so I can start to explore the beta test. thanks

                    • I found solutions to the problem. Go into the folder with the game, find the exe file, click the properties, then the compatibility and tick off scaling. All should earn, the problem with productivity is solved by transition in a window mode. And even better run the game from the battle net. p.s. i have a laptop.

                      • Ok for starters guys, if you're going to tell people you have an issue with your mouse then give additional details. Laptop or PC? Gaming mouse or basic mouse? DPI settings (insert number here). Thanks to those who have actually attempted to list these. Based on what I have seen, DPI is the main issue but it would be nice to narrow it down so we can make sure it is JUST an issue with DPI. Cheers.

                        • Hi, I just wanted to give some feedback on issues regard Dual Monitors. I was playing, but my mouse would lock up and I would not be able to shoot or turn. I couldn't figure out what it was until I unplugged my second monitor. After that, the game ran smoothly. I have never had an issue with Dual Monitor's before on any other game, so it took me a while to figure out. I think the issue was that the mouse would track off of the "primary" screen and then get stuck in the other one. Hopefully this issue can be fixed. It would be nice to run Dual Monitors and not have to unplug it every time I want to play.

                          • So my sister was having this same issue on her gaming laptop. I turned on the fps counter in settings and found it reading about 10 fps consistently. Moving all settings to low fixed that and the stuttering and switching to "fullscreen windowed" fixed the mouse stopping at the edge

                          • I am experiencing mouse issues too. I have the Corsair Glaive. I believe the issue is definitely mouse/mouse software related. I switched out the mouse that doesn't use any extra software, isn't high DPI, and doesn't have onboard memory. This worked! I tried disabling the software for the Glaive, but didn't change anything, but can't rule it out. If you have an extra mouse, try that.

                          • The problem occurs when my mouse reaches the edge of my display. The default windows cursor overlaps with the destiny cursor and renders turning impossible.
