"No internet connection detected" Error code: Canary. ?!?!

Hello there! When I'm trying to play in Destiny 2 Beta, I getting this error: No internet connection detected. Please check your network configuration and try again. For Information on resolving this issue visit help.bungie.net and search for: canary. But there are nothing about "canary"...

  • Hello, We are actively investigating reports of CANARY issues related to PPPoE Connections. We believe this issue may be related to MOOSE errors that were experienced during the Console Beta, but the issue is presenting an alternate error on PC. Could you provide answers to the following questions?       • Well, beta is coming to an end and I still have not played, from the bungie there is no answer I guess it's time to cancel my pre-order.

      • The question is: Will PPPoE connectivity be supported by Destiny 2 when it releases for PC? Most Belgian players, clients at the biggest ISP here have issues with normal Ethernet because Destiny 2 is not compatible with a certain type of router (error spinach). And using a PPPoE connection we would bypass the router and have a work arround. So @BNGHelp5 , Will PPPoE be supported for Destiny 2 PC version or not? Im not going to pre order it if I'm not even sure I will be able to play it and so won't most Belgian players.

                used iphone 6 as a modem and the game worked, the game probably doesnot see a ppoe internet connection

                • ISP at my home is using PPPoE to setup internet connection and I have canary problem. VPN, 4G works fine. Did some dumb setup. My old PC is a gateway server for my main rig now, while I am using same ISP to connect and it works like that. There is something wrong with the game. Please fix.

                      • no yes italy i cant play with my pppoe connection (that works fine with all the other battlenet's games). I preordered the game but i cant play it! Someone knows if I can get a refund?

                        • Technicolor router here, if i don't use PPPoE i get kicked after defending the plaza, if i use it i can't connect at all.... seems legit

                          Had that error too, fixed it. I live in Russia, when i was trying to connect i always had "No internet connection detected." error, i used VPN service (changed my country to Romania\Sweden\Germany\Netherlands) and the error was gone. I know, this is not a solution but just "Crutch for a crutch", at least it works... Seems like there may be some problem with regional settings in some Battle.net clients.

                          FOUND SOLUTION (FOR ME) I use 4G internet, so I just opened the settings of the modem and chose connection type to "NDIS" instead of "RAS"

                          • I suspected something like this, and if they dont fix before the end of the beta well... I will cancel my pre order aswell, i cba to use VPN or using phone router or hotspots only to play this game. After all just because it's a cross platform game and you find console players aswell, so maybe there is something wrong/intended with pc broadband connections???????

                                My friend has such error and he use L2TP connection too. How the hell every game (including any other title on Battle.net) works fine but D2 don't. That's really amateurish, Bungie.
