Destiny is NOT CoD: We Don't Want Our Abilities To Be "Rare"
This isn't CoD. This is Destiny. [b]Using space magic is what defines Destiny and what sets it apart from other games.[/b] Putting PvE and PvP together does not work. You cannot reconcile the two - they have completely different needs and skill requirements. Placating to one hurts the other when they are tied to the same sandbox. You'd think after 3 years of repeated failure to balance the two together that you'd have learned this lesson by now....
[b]The Bungie Update mentioned ability "tweaks", but it ALSO mentioned the fact that abilities like our grenades and melees should be "rare". [/b]This is clearly a PvP decision due to the excessive whining about grenade and melee deaths. This decision is made at the expense of PvE, which is the actual game. [b]Destiny isn't about guns - it's about Nova Bombs, Golden Guns, Tripmines, Axion Bolts, and Fists that frequently induce Havoc.[/b]

13 RepliesI really don't understand how people keep saying this game is about using space magic... You really don't remember getting excited when your first Gjallarhorn dropped? Or whatever other gun you were excited for? I guess all you cared about was leveling up your toon high enough to use those awesome sticky grenades? Sure space magic is a part of the game. But jiminy cricket, this game is so much about chasing loot! How do you not see that? That means GUNS. Just chill out. This game isn't even out yet. Bungie. Please. Please do not listen to these forums ever.

It's so divided, just, throw some shit at us, enjoyable shit. -blam!- it, let's go generic Oh, grenades and melee rare because of PvP, no it's fine to have in PvP , the supers flying all over was the problem. Supers are CoD in PvP, but what ever you guys are crazy...ill play it, not care, get bored, go back to another game.

Unless of course you are bitching they change it for both and disguising it as a PvE sided post, but secretly want it done in PvP because you know most people will not care otherwise. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I know people were calling it ability spam simulator but that is what makes it destiny and sets it apart from all other games. We wanna play ability spam simulator. Otherwise why not just play cod and other similar fps.

I had been saying to seperate PVE and PVP two years ago before I took a year and a half break from Destiny. I just recently got RoI. In the past, weapon nerfs and horrible Taken King weapons infuriated me because it was due PVP. It seems PVP got nerfed now...and the shoe is on the other foot. They will not seperate it. They seem determined to keep PVP tied to PVE.

Dont worry, ive been playing a bit of black ops 3 pvp lately and i can tell you how it is. I get my war machine super to pop 2 sometimes 3 times during a 12 person match. Which, as im sure you know, is 2 to 3 times more often than in a match of 4 vs4 during the destiny 2 Beta.

3 RepliesWhile it pains me to say it. You may just wish to give up the crusade. Come to terms with D2 as it is. Save your hope for Borderlands 3 & Anthem. Yes we have no details but even if BL3 fails to surpass BL2 it will be the game folks expect it to be. Anthem will be either what folks hope it will be or it'll be a good to decent shooter like Warframe's first 2 years. Speaking of which if you're bored. Dabble in Warframe.
