I really don't understand how people keep saying this game is about using space magic...
You really don't remember getting excited when your first Gjallarhorn dropped? Or whatever other gun you were excited for? I guess all you cared about was leveling up your toon high enough to use those awesome sticky grenades?
Sure space magic is a part of the game. But jiminy cricket, this game is so much about chasing loot! How do you not see that? That means GUNS.
Just chill out. This game isn't even out yet. Bungie. Please. Please do not listen to these forums ever.

Edited by Espoo Elite: 8/12/2017 5:07:24 PMNo one. I honestly believe the game would be better if they just made the game the way they thought best.

Reddit or others with common sense

Reddit is unhelpful for the exact opposite reason. If you aren't pumping sunshine & kissing ass, it gets down voted to hell. They don't want to have real conversations. Its why the devs actually post there. It's the equivalent of a mom telling an ugly kid "that they are beautiful to them".

Chasing loot... gear was loot. Gear buffed abilities for the most part. I didn't get excited over a weapon that I got from another match/chest 5 mins ago. I did get excited over gear that buffed me.
-
Valid point. We are going to see the same in D2 though. So that's why I think we need to wait to see what everything will be like instead of complaining about ability and super cooldowns
-
I doubt that anything will have a drastic change. I fear those mods slots are going to be primarily cosmetic. If it was going to buff us, as some hope they should have shown that in the beta. Otherwise why buff them now?
-
I think they are purely cosmetic as well. But I'm sure there will be plenty of armor pieces that have ways of charging abilities and super faster.
-
I dunno man. We saw no proff of this yet. Right now it's just speculation and wishful thinking. Going by Bungies recent pre release buff it really doesn't look to promising. Not like Bungie has a good track record here either. My fingers are crossed but my expectations are seriously lowered.
-
Well you weren't excited for ghallarhorn because it was a very "balanced" weapon were you?
-
Personally I wasn't excited about getting Gjallarhorn. There are people who do prefer balanced gameplay out there. Bungie devs seem to be some of them.

Great point! Getting Jade Rabbit to finally drop was such a great feeling compared to finally unlocking my spike grenades!
