I swear the majority of you guys are slower than watching paint dry........ the new weapons system is not because of PvP, just as PvE ammo drops are not because of PvP, slow charge rate on supers and abilities again NOT PVP.! this configuration is a setup to cause team play, now you have to think a little when you assemble a group. who will use what power weapons, who will be ranged, who will clear trash, and so on. this is also to keep most people from using one or two weapons for every event. everything that has changed in D2 has been clear setups for team oriented game play, in BOTH PvE and PvP. D1 has been preparing you for these things if you paid attention. Shaxx bounties ask for primary kills to get you used to more primary action, the quartermaster bounties to get you to use all types, the gunsmith with all types and activities to test them in. modifiers for primary damage or secondary damage to again train you into using certain types of weapons to use in situations. not because of PvP but because D1 people found one or two weapons and ONLY used those making cries for nerfs on everything that anyone figured out was an edge. PvE was made too easy by the use of a few very powerful weapons, and for many people were excluded from most groups if they didn't have weapon x....... given the chance, this system can make fro great team play, fun loadouts, and say it with me people; VARIETY. something new takes time to get used to. of course you won't jump in on the Beta and be as bad ass as your current guardian, you've spent years tweaking your guardian, finding the best weapons, gear, and perk sets to make it yours. this is a bare bones avatar in Beta, no mods, no familiar weapons, no gear that tweaks everything just how you like. you've seen less than 2% of the game, you still have a lot more info to learn, a lot more to be revealed, and a lot of testing things to see what works best for you. NONE of you started D1 mastering the system you grew into it, as you an and will with D2 if you pull your heads out of your sphincters and stop with the stupid everything that is not to my liking is the fault of PvP attitudes trying to change a game before you've even played it.

These posts are starting to become annoying and counter-productive. Too many stupid people on these forums that joined the game in ttk and roi. The original weapon system for destiny is what d2 has. The d1 weapon system was garbage, not d2. It's not being changed. Deal with it. I'd rather have an element weapon a button press away instead of waiting 2 hours for an inventory screen to load and die 500x while waiting.

Why do people keep whinging about this change? Primary and Secondary is D1. This is not D1. We now have Kinetic, Elemental and Power. Not two primaries. It's a different game, with a different setup. Get used to it, or go play D1.

It's down to one thing incompetence. Bungies incompetence to balance weapons properly. Players incompetence to try and find a counter to something so they cried nerf. Your welcome have a good day.

For a more tactical focus PvP team based shooter, that has spilled into PvE, making PvE more tactically based due to the lack of abilities and lack of crazy powerful OHK weapons. Basically fun got nerfed cause PvP

I ONLY CAN REPEAT... !!!!! THE Discussion is not necessary, because it has nothing to do with different opinios! IT is only a FACT.... with the view to all good PVP Shooter in this world.... It's a fact that the D2 weapon System is totally the wrong way. It is completely nonsense to reduce the USE of every weapon like sniper, like shotgun , like Fusion.... A good pvp shooter offers every type of basic weapon! The SKILL of the Players is to adapt movement and tactic to the choise of weapon. BUT BUNGIE only reduces PVP to a simple Primary gun fight....totally boring! Because they are not able to Balance ! Look at Battlefield, Call of Duty, Counterstrike or anything else! If Players want to Play sniper, or shotgun, they CAN... They do not have to wait several rounds, they do not have to share ammo, they only have to adapt their WAY of PLAYING... BUT they are always free in the choice of weapon... For me so hard to understand ! There are so many possibilities for weapon loadouts in PVP... Sniper and shotgun Lovers are reduced to 6 Shots ammo in a Long pvp match and the Chance to get this ammo is very low. And if you get some heavy ammo you probably fight against rocket launcher... SUPER BUNGIE! I can't believe!

Because special weapons trigger the PvP crybabies.

Bungie will change it when they realise no one is using their second primary.

Because that's how the game's perfectly fine loadout system works.

It's simple, they've gone back to Halo-era power weapons as opposed to heavy weapons, with power weapons being any one-shot-kill capable weapon. I, for one, welcome the -blam!- out of this change, but then again, I was a massive Bungie-era Halo fan, so I'm generally on board with anything that makes Destiny more Halo.

It's waay better than d1

You don't have 2 primary. You have: Kinetic Energy Power

Because PVP is the priority now and Bungie are happy to sacrifice PVE as a result.... Special weapons all had elemental burns.....if you want to take shields down fast, use a sniper, shotgun or fusion!

What some early posts on this thread are missing, is the 2nd primaries all have an Element: Arc, Solar or Void The purpose of this design is to let everyone have Elemental Primaries for when they need to take a shield down quick, or their is a burn for the activity IN PvE. Everyone gets a legendary elemental primary, without having to beat the hardest raid activity in the game

Because PvP is activisions baby and they hold the keys when bungie made the deal with the devil.
