As most of you already know, Bungie's response to players cheating is pathetic at best, with many reporting seeing known cheaters continue to practice their scumbag arts after being reported to kingdom come.
Blizzard however, seems to take a much harsher approach. I must say, the cheater tears were incredibly sweet in this video! (Almost cathartic, really...)
For the record, I've been primarily a Destiny player until very recently. Picked up Overwatch, and am enjoying it immensely.
It makes me sad though, that Bungie fails to take proper action. They've lost some of my respect, and Blizzard has gained it.
Here's hoping D2 will see a change. I really do want to be able to trust Bungie to take care of us, to protect us from cheater's garbage. I don't think they've achieved that in D1.
EDIT: Here's a link to another video on how different companies have punished cheaters. It's really quite fantastic!

Since Bungie say they will be using cloud servers instead of p2p for D2 then it should be easier for them to track deliberate connection manipulation and ddos should be a thing of the past as your opponents should not be able to find your IP address.
