Really Bungie? This is the Arcstrider/Poledancer ranged super attack?

Check the video from 2:07 to 2:09. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jn1dML6RC5w&index=1&list=PLZUnIN1M4R_9yoPSXzV6x7d70fpy1l_eK#t=83.431661 I've checked over the footage from the gameplay footage to try and find something to show me that Arcstrider will be more than just a Bladedancer reskin, something to make it worth using in PvE, and this is all we get. This is it. Bungie... I'm sorry, but as a Hunter Main... this is pathetic. It's not even very wide, and doesn't go very far either. You can see the Cabal hound just a little to the right survives the attack. Arcblade is the worst D1 PVE super. Every other D1 super has utility against adds & bosses, and some had more than that. Arcblade was always ONLY useful for adds, and not even that much, especially after the nerds. It's got terrible range for PVE's regularly open spaces, and with Poledancer looking the same way and not even appearing to have Showstopper or Razor's Edge it does not look effective at all. Can we maybe be able to plant it or throw it, just once, ending the super, to make a lightning rod? Like an Arc version of a Sunspot? Stick it to a boss or in the ground or a wall to deliver DoT Arc damage? That's at least got some utility. But an entirely melee super that's DoT on a class that generally has less armor and poorer survival was a bad idea in Destiny 1 PVE. Bladedancer practically dissappeared from PVE when Nightstalker was introduced for just this reason. I mean... I know it's great for PVP, but as long as there are boss slams, Poledancers are going to fall to bits. At least a Titan's Striker class looks tough enough to stand up to a boss for their now multiple slams... And the lightning rod idea wouldn't be that overpowered in PVP (remember, it would end the rest of the super). Just avoid the area where the staff is, like a tether or aftermath or grenade or sunspot. Yes, I'm complaining a lot, but I'm tired of having two viable PVE subclasses and now they're dashing my hopes that they'd fix Bladedancer in Destiny 2. It was fun at the beginning, but then Bladedancer was only useful for invisibility. Arcstrider looks fun... but it will get old fast if it's as bad as it looks. Edit: The reason I'm complaining about this now is because when the beta drops, they'll likely be focused on bugs and other issues. If the Arcstrider is actually going to be a viable PVE class to replace the useless PVE class of Bladedancer... we gotta strike while the iron is hot. Tell them now, not later. Edit 2: Looking back over the Destiny 1 Gameplay reveal video... getting a bit nostalgic for that early game content, I'm looking forward to Destiny 2. And at the beginning I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy Arcstrider. I'm going to give it a chance then too. But I'm still nervous it'll be Bladedancer for PVE all over again. I'm sorry if people think the lack of footage means we can't judge and I should shut up, personally I think the lack of footage when we have so much for Dawnbreaker & Sentinel is a bad signal, but I'm going to give it a chance. I just hope Bungie has fixed what they couldn't fix throughout all of Destiny 1.

Looks like it has a larger area, sort of like a Shotgun blast than a wave like in D1. Also Bladedancers in D1 are straight up the slippery class of the slippery class. Backstab, Fleetfooted, and Blink are the best. Your idea is basically the Lightning Grenade from Hell. Noice.
