Dark souls 3 build advice
So I started playing ds3 again after doing 1 playthrough when the game was released. I haven't really been keeping up with the updates in the game since then so I'm looking for some advice for a strenght or dex build. What weapon types have hyper armour and what are the decent weapons now? I'm looking mainly pve with a bit of pvp later. Any advice would be appreciated and cheers in advance for any helpful soul

Some light weapons do have hyper armour in their Weapon Art. For example, the Straight Swords WA: Stance & spears' WA: Charge. You also have some weapons that give you hyper armour through the Preseverance WA. try this [spoiler]i picked deprived so i have 10 in every stat at sl 1 35 vig 10 attunement 35 end 19 vit 60 str 15 dex 10 int 10 faith 10 luck heavy infused dark sword in right hand yhorms great machete in off-hand any armor with 20+ total poise havels ring +3, FAP ring +3, prisoners chain, cloranthy ring +3[/spoiler]

Any advice would be appreciated and cheers in advance for any helpful soul[/quote] For quality builds use Murakumo(Sharp),Valorheart, any katana, Astora GS(Sharp), or the Dark Sword. It's Weapon Art is Stomp w/hyper armor. It can be buffed too.

7 RepliesA deceptively good weapon; [url=http://darksouls3.wiki.fextralife.com/Valorheart.]the Valorheart.[/url] This weapon takes Twinkling Titanite, and cannot be infused, or buffed. It's damage is decent, with a C scaling in Dex, and a D in Str (after reinforcement), but it's nothing extraordinary, and every other slash does ever so slightly less damage, not to mention itty bitty range. However.. The Valorheart has an "autoblock" mechanic. If attacked in the middle of an attack animation, it will count as a block. If you have low stamina, that's bad, but with good stamina management, its a blessing, especially for enemies who can be staggered, like the final boss of Ashes of Ariandel. Imo, this autoblock makes up for its downside, giving you the poise of a greatsword, with the speed of a straight sword, all with an incoming damage reduction of a shield. 'Course, I'm mainly a mage, so my opinion may not be the best..

Hollowed builds are still really good

Get 40 strength and dex, put a refined gem on the Lothric knight great sword and learn how to use the weapon art effectively. It never gets old making an enemy fly up in the air.

2 RepliesEdited by Aldrich: 4/29/2017 1:32:04 PM40 int, 40 Fai, Pyro Glove Set the world on fire. Edit Don't build pure dex. It looses to quality in terms of options and overall damage output. Pure Str we can kind of make a case for but in my opinion str is still best when paired with another stat like dex or fai.

Greatshield and Straight Sword always works well. An odd recommendation I have it the one handed Dragonslayer Axe. It's got good damage and you can still use a shield in the other hand.
