Hello,
According to the service page http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status there is nothing currently wrong on Microsoft's end.
Have you attempted to clear your consoles cache?

I'm glad I'm not the only one having this issue. I'm in Manitoba and I can't get past the character window. I've tried some other games and they all work fine. C'mon Bungie, wtf?!?

I'm in the same boat. I ended up doing a boatload of troubleshooting, including a factory reset. I chatted with a guy from Microsoft support he said. We are getting lots of reports from Canadian customers in the last hour. [/quote] An hour later still no service alert, and still no Destiny :(

sorry but NO there IS A BIG PROBLEM!!!! im down and getting the same thing. so are atleast 10 other people that i know of!!! YES THERE IS A PROBLEM!

Still can't log on after clearing the cache. There's something up. I checked XBox live status and it appears that there's an issue with some Canadian users not being able to log on either.

Yeah I'm in Canada as well, and I'm getting slapped in the face with a vulture then getting locked out. I've tried other games and they worked fine, seems to only happen with Destiny.

I can't even download mods on skyrim or access any online game sadly. No dark souls pvp for me😞

I just managed to actually log in past the character sign in screen. Game is not letting me fly to the Tower now. Wait I'm on route. Let's see if I actually make it or get kicked out. I'm at the Tower. Hopefully things are now fixed.

i can't even log in and im in new york bungie fix your update that has stopped people from playing your game i haven't been able to play destiny sense that broken hotfix
