Can't log in to Destiny

Trying to log on. When I choose my character I get a message saying that I have lost connection to the Destiny servers. Is there an issue with XBox Live?

  • I'm here in Pennsylvania and getting error messages can't login to destiny 2. I just bought this game restart my modem multiple times that's not working it's working on my other PlayStation 4 tho but not my main so it's clearly a binge problem please fix asap.

    • Not just a Canada issue. I am in Indiana and having exact same issues. I might be able to play a match if I am lucky, but I keep getting kicked out when I try to get to the tower. This has been like this for days

Reading through the posts on this thread, your descriptions indicate that there may be an issue with one of the local Internet Service Providers. If you are still unable to login to Destiny, you may want to try power cycling your network hardware. This can help remove any old data that is being stored in the network hardware that may be causing this issue. There is a guide on how to power cycle the network hardware at this link: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11877 If power cycling your network hardware does not help resolve the issue, you may want to contact your Internet Service Provider to investigate potential issues along the route your traffic is taking or issues stemming from a recent change in their firmware. When contacting your Internet Service Provider, please keep in mind that your signal levels change while playing Destiny. For your Internet Service Provider to get the most accurate analysis of your connection, have them run their troubleshooting checks while you are attempting to log in to Destiny.

              • I'm having the same issue in Alberta. I was actually able to get in after much effort, play a match, start another match, and get booted halfway through that one. I'm back to not being able to log in.

                      Hello, According to the service page http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status there is nothing currently wrong on Microsoft's end. Have you attempted to clear your consoles cache? https://www.bungie.net/Mobi/en/About/Article?id=12539

                      • The same thing has been happening to me all day, non stop. I have been through literally every form of troubleshooting for this problem, and can variety for absolute certain this is a bungie problem. I have even spent hours on the phone with my service provider and had a technician manually access my router/modem close and secure my nat, test my speed and connection, then re open my Nat to provide optimized Xbox live service. I have a dedicated hard wired connection, all my other devices use a separate connection from my Xbox to avoid these kinds of difficulties. This is a bungie server problem and I am starting to think bungie needs to reimburse people for selling us crap that doesn't work. Most of my clan is holding off on preordering Destiny 2 because we don't want the same excuses for another three years. Every other game I own works, and plays but Destiny is subject to failure no matter how good my connection is. Other than recycling all your content over and over, and giving garbage drops to people who have been playing since beta and have more than earned appropriate roles for the amount of time invested and feats accomplished in your game, you can't even keep your servers functioning.... what a dying company.. not even capable of balanced matchmaking after years of experience with the halo franchise... bungie do you even game anymore...?

                      • I've been getting the same thing here in Vancouver. Actually made it into the game after 30 minutes of trying only to get another Vulture error when trying to join a group for the nightfall. Kinda glad to know it's not an issue with my console, but still somewhat annoying.

                      • I got on last night and managed to gilet to the tower. It was late so I just went to the tower and logged off. I try to get on this morning and it's the same shit all over again. Grrrrr come on Bungie! Please fix this. This is literally the conversation going on about this. There has been no acknowledgment from Microsoft, play station or Bungie on twitter or anywhere else. It pisses me off when things don't work but it really infuriates me when I'm being ignored.
