I've a few discussion posts about Destiny and it's change in direction.
But please, don't be blindsided by the buttery nostalgia.
Year 1 Destiny lacked substantial content, every DLC made you buy missions in reverse.
Cheers👍
Running about for hours to get materials to unlock perks.
I miss certain things about Year 1, but Year 2 was such a better version of Destiny.
What was the Gunsmith good for in Year 1?
-blam!- all. 950 for a heavy synth.
Sorry. I disagree with your statement Sir Guardian of the Forum.

Most of what you mentioned was to do with grinding. You may not like it. You may enjoy having everything handed to you as quickly as possible. So it may shock you to learn that some of us actually enjoy the grind. Everything was more valuable in year 1 because it took so long to get.

I didn't mind playing Destiny everyday. I preferred it when the Bounties and XP from the daily was the only way you upgraded weapons. Loadouts had more time time to settle, they had more meaning. And I don't agree with 3oC, I hope they do away with that. The difference in the grind of Year 1 and the effort you put in Year2, was how rewarding it was to play strikes. You were going to get a legendary after a few. Factions were pointless unless you wanted a black shader. How exciting was it to get something from the faction that wasn't 2 strange coins and 2 Motes of Light. I have a screenshot of getting a New Monarchy helmet for the Warlock. I was a Titan and hadn't made any other characters. It was so unusual to get something that I took a screenshot. I don't mind putting in effort. But most of Y1 felt unrewarding.
