mmm, i don't believe that you were a true YR1er. this is why: you don't seem to recall the zoo stampede of animal dropped connections, inability to find matches, and being returned to orbit.
you seem to have forgotten that there was absolutely NO story. the campaign was all of 20 minutes, top to bottom, and if you're not a huge Crucible buff like myself, there was literally NOTHING else to do... no content.
Dinklebot.
the abysmal first DLC pack you could buy for the game was just the original story that got cut from the game. true story.
the horrible reasons we were given for there being no clarity throughout most of the first year of the game between Bungie and consumers, as to why the lead creator of the game left, why the game basically had to be rewritten from the ground up mere months before release (and it wasn't delayed to get it right?)
ya, that. I am not hating on anything. apparently, I am still here. just saying. the true YR1ers carried the hell out of this game, through all the crap that was thrown at us, to help bring all of the later players this fantastic experience... the first year being the best?! I beg to differ with you on that. VoG was solid, probably the best raid/event in the game. doesn't hold a candle up to all of the other BS, though

I'm pretty sure he was talking about pvp. If you were a bug pvp player, then year 1 was probably the best.

they might have mentioned that, talking about pvp, if they were. just a thought. to me it sounds like their overall opinion on 'YR1" as a whole. that's what I was commenting on. pvp WAS more fun back then. i'll give you that. can't hardly make it through a match anymore without instant-raging. true. most of the time. pve ftw. pvp destroyed the other side. doubt that?! everyone crying about nerf this because it makes my butt hurt in the Crucible affected how those same weapons worked across the board for every other event... sad day when Bungie capitulates to all the salty try-hards
